When I last visited 316, the owner was racist to my Asian best friend, was rude as hell to all of us, and literally told us to get out when we got mad at him for being racist.The other bartenders seemed to just accept that this is how he is, though otherwise they seemed nice and friendly enough. The crowd was fine, and the decoration and atmosphere was actually exactly what we were looking for - but that owner! We left and never came back.

love this bar, the owner jeff is so nice and is very helpful and attentive. the drinks are strong and worth the price. best nights to come is the drag nights.

Used to be a fun place to go back in college 2016-2018. Now it’s terrible. They always double charge or swipe your card multiple times, my drink was spiked, and overall the quality of service has gone down hill. Such a shame.

You can see the ownership issues from the reviews below. I truly wish ownership would be handed over to someone with morals and respect for the community. We don't have many LGBTQ+ bars in Charlotte but I won't go here until someone else owns it. Current owner will try to charge your card for almost triple your tab if left open. Just an overall bad business and I hope they can right their wrongs.
