We had the wontons for an appetizer and the sour seafood soup. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing with clean tables, good presentation, and great music. Our server was Tansu B., she was fantastic. She made very good recommendations and cared for us

I was a little concerned after reading reviews of this restaurant, but we had been here years before. Kyle arrived to our table almost immediately and filled us in on drink and food specials. Our orders were taken in a timely manner , food arrived at a normal pace and service was stellar. We were checked on frequently by the staff. The food contrary to other reviews was very good and nominally priced. All four of us enjoyed pad Thai, a basil dish with pork and one with chicken. Plenty of sauce provided also, so I didn't agree with poster who claimed food was 'dry'. We were here last before covid with out of town family and came back again with them. No disappointment. Hopefully we'll be back sooner . This was the restaurant on 5th in Charlotte

We had a fantastic girls night meal at Basil tonight. The pad thai, pad see ew, and red curry shrimp were all flavorful and perfectly portioned for sharing. The music was great, and the servers, Collin and Trent, were friendly and attentive. The manager, Robert, was also kind and personable, which made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend Basil!

This was the worst restaurant I have everrrrrrrr been to. I had fried rice & sweet and sour chicken. The rice was okay. It was edible but the chicken was the worst I’ve ever had. I told the server and he was very understanding explaining that he will ask the owner. The owner came out and was not apologetic. I told him unfortunately I did not like the chicken and would like this to be taken off my tab. He said well unfortunately we cannot do that we made it right and you just didn’t like it. He also said we gotta eat the cost when you don’t like it and want it taken off. Then went to say we made it the way you wanted and we changed the way we make it blah blah blah. What does that have to do with me? This was horrible customer service and I feel that I was mistreated because I am black. I didn’t ask for him to comp my whole meal just the chicken that I did not eat. He handled this horribly and this restaurant will never see me ever again. I urge all of you reading this to never go to this restaurant. If you do not like there food, tough for you because they do not care. If you are strugglifn as a business owner to eat the cost of $22 that’s truly sad and you should maybe find another profession that’s making you more money. I have been to plenty restaurants and have not liked certain things but was never talked down to and was given my money back and received a apology. That’s the places that I will return too.
