The staff was very friendly and chill. We didn't know they were famous for the size of the pizza, so when we were given our large pizza for the 2 of us, we were shocked! Anytime we are back in Charlotte, we will stop in.

I’ve had their pizza from other locations and it’s always amazing. I’m not entirely convinced this location even exists though. I’ve called about 2 dozen times over the course of a couple days and have never got an answer even when their hours suggest that they’re open. Their online ordering system is also down. Normally I’d just drop by but I don’t think I want to drive 40 mins to a pizza place I’m not even sure is open. StrangeEdit: I did end up finding this place and it’s great pizza

So we drove 50 minutes with 7 children aged 10 and under. Upon arrival we learned it would be an hour wait because one of the pizza ovens was down. We ordered 3 pies and got 12 drinks. We paid for the food. We got the children settled with crayons at a table and the pizza maker comes out with an attitide and asks "was there something wrong with the service because you didn't tip". And then the rest of the employees talked about it for about 15 minutes. Having been in the restaurant business for years in my experience you tip after eating when you have experienced the service. And furthermore tips are not required and should NEVER be expected. We had to get our own drinks out of a case. They put the pizzas on the counter for us to bring to the table. We got our own paper plates. What service did we receive that would require a tip? In addition,the pizza came out doughy and barely cooked. Needless to say it was very disappointing and certainly not worth the long trip.

This is my second time At Bennys and today the pizza was just “ok”. I order three pies and drinks as I took my family, and I was mortified by the staff asking me why I didn’t leave a tip on a $140 order?! Maybe call me old fashion but the only service I received was the man taking my order. No one served my family our pizza; we sat at regular tables. No one served us drinks or cleaned up after us! I think asking for a tip is rude by far and has now made me a customer that will not come back!There is nothing fancy or personal about this walk in pizzeria. Bathrooms need an update and a cleaning!

Was craving some pizza late night after a comedy show and stumbled across this spot since it was still open. It looked like a local neighborhood bar/ kind of hole in the wall spot but they had a good variety of pizza options so it was good enough for me. I don't remember the name of the pizza I got (probably a beef or steak) and my friend got pepperoni and it honestly wasn't bad at all. I appreciate that they were open late and that's just what we needed.

Great place for a HUGE late night slice! Benny’s has been the spot no matter what town they are in since my college years. If there’s one in town I’m stopping by. Benny Pennello’s is no exception, a great slice to cap off a great night!

Pizza always has a great amount of cheese on it!It is fresh! I love adding the garlic or dip in ranch dressing!Followed up with a strawberry soda!Although the parking lot is small, I always manage to find parking.I love the energetic atmosphere and the service is good!!
