Six of us went after a track meet 3/16/24. We enjoyed the little whole in the wall looking place with an outside deck ( bringing my cigars next time ?) The food we had was good, pizza, salad the potato wedges needed to be crispier. The wings we had Honey Cajun Lemon Pepper were fantastic Quryon (Julianna) (local)suggested them were fantastic. Next time in town we will return an ask for Heather our overwhelmed server. She was great and alone despite having new people on staff. We would have stayed longer couldn't get drinks because the bar tender an others were busy consoling the very very lit lady, ??(WGW ssshh) morning the resent death of an employee. Our condolences to the staff. The hole place hidden as it is from the road could use a face lift an body surgery. With food like it has it's got to look better ?. A little more lighting, keep the stage add bud light lime. Be prepared if you go it looks low grade home town but you can have fun bring company.Mr. Glenn party of six!!!!!!Thanks Quryon an JuliannaWheelchair accessibility: There was a wheelchaired person at the bar. I give them kudos for accessibility.

You can't go wrong with their chicken wings and fried mushrooms! Spacious and family friendly.

This is my second visit, so I went in for a late-night snack. I ordered tachos, which are tots dipped in cheese, sour cream, jalapeño, and pico. I place an order for fried pickles and hot wings. They were all excellent, but I advise you to eat them there. They are difficult to transport and difficult to reheat if you do not own an air fryer. However, everything tasted excellent.

I've been going to Big Al's since they opened many, many years ago. The food is really good and the service, well the service is good if you prep yourself beforehand.Tucked away in what use to be a fish camp/ seafood restaurant Big Al's can be somewhat hidden. Those who know about it know exactly where it is but don't expect to see it easily passing by on Albemarle Road. Inside is sort of dark and bar or dive like. Its way overdue for some upgrades and could use some more light. The food is definitely why I keep coming back. I love the wings and the chicken tenders and their blue cheese is some of the best I've had a restaurants. Unique to Big Al's the sauce's level of heat can be adjusted to the flavors you order (i.e. BBQ, BBQ Medium, BBQ Hot, etc.). My favorite is Vesuvius which is their spiciest sauce but I do not find it too spicey. An order of fries or tots are enough for two and possibly three.Service is something to be desired. Again, if you have the proper expectations then you will not be disappointed. Some staff seem to be more lively and more hospitable than others. There's a couple that really don't have much conversation - sort of robotic.

I stopped by to grab a late night snack, this is my second time here so,I got an order of tachos, tots covered in cheese sour cream jalapeno and Pico. And order hot wings and some fried pickles. All were good but I would suggest you eat them there. They don't travel well and if you don't have an air fryer reheating is a hassle. But all tasted great.

Great service. Awesome prices. Huge menu. Cheap beer. Great vibe. Love this place! I go at least once a week. Enjoy!!

Customer service is horrible. They leave the phones off the hook so that no one can answer. There is no other way to place order only speaking to someone over the phone. Over the phone and in person the customer service is horrible. I've reported this issue to the company multiple times and NOTHING has changed. They even have signs at the restaurant telling the employees to not leave the phone off the hook. However they still do it . So as a company what do you need to do to ruin a smooth business and please customers. We need new employees or extra help to answer the phones. Maybe a website for customers to order. The food is great but I've experienced this so many times ,what a way to treat a loyal returning customer . I will continue to report this issues until I see a change. This will be reported to the BBB. Hopefully there will be a change immediately or SOON!!! Do better for your loyal customers! If I could post this without stars I would. That's how horrible the service is!

We Had To Go Up A Kinda Steep Hill And It Took A While To Get Somebody To Take Our Order. It Felt Like A Loud Pub/Bar And Not Like A Casual Place. But When We Finally Settled Down The Food Makes Up For That Because The Food And Pizza Is Really Delicious And I Could Eat There All Day.

swale eats

Some of the best wings and drinks outside the city for sure. I would definitely recommend getting the HAB wings. Very affordable,Most places are 10 wings for $20 now a days smh. Which is why i don’t go, but they have some reasonable prices. And the drinks are cheap! I’ll definitely be back for sure.
