Brightly lit, cute design and nice colors. The place is efficiently designed with a smaller dining room but there is dining both inside and out. The staff was both helpful and friendly, the menu has various options for all kinds of eaters. The food was so fresh and flavorful. I could have eaten my salad twice! So good.

We stopped by Brown Bag Seafood while visiting Charlotte. The staff was friendly and helpful!! The food was great. I had fish and chips my friend had the pepper jack cheese shrimp and grits. The pepper jack cheese shrimp and grits were amazing!!!! Next time I'll definitely be getting that.

Food was lukewarm , and SUPER bland . I mean they had to literally take it out and drop the fish in the grease no type of seasoning at all , Staff was nice , place was very clean , nice atmosphere.

I've ordered a few different things, on different occasions, almost all good. Yesterday I got buffalo shrimp, as takeout, and discovered too late that they were still raw inside. I think if it had been fully cooked I would have liked it.

We both had tacos (shrimp & salmon) & they were delicious! Seasoned well, perfect balance of spicy & savory with the jalapeños & ranch sauce. Portions were just right. We both had one taco & was full. The truffle parm tots melted in your mouth. A combination I didn’t know I needed. And the cookie was decadent & soft. This will definitely be on my list of spots that I’ll frequent when visiting Charlotte.

The office-worker's lunch market is, I imagine, tricky: on one hand, if you have the right location, you have a built-in customer base; on the other hand, you have a lot of competition, and if you get something wrong with pricing, product, or service, those costumers will turn their backs on you pretty quickly. Brown Bag deserves a long life. Service is quick, the price point is around the "under $15 with a drink" usual for uptown Charlotte (I usually get the daily catch salad; other options are available). Everything is fresh and the portion size is perfect. There are a couple of other places you could get something broadly comparable, but Brown Bag is the best of the bunch, and offers a clean, pleasant place to sit if you don't want to hear back to your desk. (It would be a good fast casual option if you're at an uptown hotel as well, although they're not open late.)

ROUND OF APPLAUSE! WELL DONE!!! All I can say is job well done!!! It was so refreshing to have a craving for something specific and a place deliver! I woke with a serious craving for fried fish sandwiches and was planning on making them for dinner. My boyfriend reminded me that Brown Bag was on my list of places to try so we ended up ordering takeout. We both order the fish sandwich which comes fried with lettuce and pickles. The slaw was on the side and complemented the sandwich perfectly! The fries! The fries were seasoned to perfection and had the perfect crunch on the outside and fluffy potato inside! The boss sauce which has a big hot sauce undertone was very yummy! I as excited to go back and try so many more items on the menu! Thank you for the perfect lunch!
