I called, left messages and since they were supposedly "Open" I drove over 30 minutes to place my order to find out that they were actually closed. They already have abnormal hours. Never again. Lesson learned. All I wanted to do is order a cake. I can't with some of these businesses and how they conduct business... again LESSON LEARNED.

We visited the bakery on a nice Sunday afternoon. It is a great and large space with plenty of parking out front. Inside they offer multiple comfortable arm chairs, several 2-person tables & bar height seating. The menu includes cookies, cheesecakes, cupcakes, pies & cakes by the slice. I tried the Red Velvet & Oreo combo Cheesecake. The slices were big and the cake was delicious. The service was great. The young lady helping us was very friendly and gave great recommendations. Also, the facility was very clean. We'll definitely be back for another visit.

Do not offer your business to this establishment. I trusted this business with a cupcake catering order for a baby shower in December 2022. BW Sweets did not have what I had ordered, and they gave me frozen cupcakes, which were still frozen at the time of the event. We were stuck with these with no opportunity to go elsewhere for our event. Management agreed to refund me for a portion of the order and to date, has still not done so, even after several reminders. Their business practices, lack of communication and cupcakes were all subpar. If you are seeking sweets for an event, BW Sweets is NOT the bakery for you.

This place is like stepping into a fairly land. Always so many selections to choose from and always everything I pick is great. Even the rice Kristine treats. The staff are usually friendly and helpful and the store is always very clean. That place is a sin if you are on a diet and a joy if you need a fix for something scrumptious! I paid $50 for a birthday cake which was ready over an hour later than promised. Doesn't look like the one on display and they couldn't even write Happy Birthday on it or the persons name. It's for an older women and I really wanted something special. Very disappointing. Hopefully it's delicious but so are the pre made ones at Harris Teeter for half the price. They have a Help Wanted sign up. Maybe I caught them at a bad time. Wanted to give a heads up so others are aware.

I heard about BW Sweets Bakery from Facebook. I drove 32 miles round trip from Concord NC to try it. First Impression as my very first time coming there soon as me and my husband walked in we were not greeted with a hello nothing! My husband asked if they had peach cobbler instead of using her words she just pointed her finger to the end of the counter! When I asked if I could take a pic of her sign for my instagram reels(a post to promote & support) the business she was very dry never asked was it our first time visiting, have we been there before NOTHING! After we paid she simply asked did we want a receipt we said no thanks she turned around walked back to the back of the store without so much of a thanks for shopping there today or at least waiting until we left the store! The customer service was very DRY! Not worth a 32 mile drive on a rainy Sunday afternoon and people complain no one supports black owned business! I didn't try my dessert yet but no matter how good it taste I will never go back! All it took was a SMALL moment of consideration!

Communication was on point, they were clear in payment and time frame, and their choice of decoration fit our theme perfectly! So happy I went with this bakery after it came highly recommended from a friend of mine. When I initially reached out they took their time going over all of the small details of my big order of cake, cupcakes and cookie favors for my bridal shower. All of our items come out even better than the photo inspirations I sent them. Everyone raved about how cute AND delicious they were. I was so happy they were able to deliver the day of the event to help relieve some of my stress. I will definitely be placing future orders with them, they really knocked it out of the park!

It's changed so much. I literally would always brag about BW sweets. How they are the best black owned bakery in Charlotte. Today I was highly disappointed. I paid about $6 a slice for this cake I could have gotten from food lion. Didn't taste like bakery quality at all. Not to mention the butter pecan cake made me sad. Not sure what happened but I felt like I wasted money. I got the lemon and butter pecan slices. I won't be back.
