Living in Charlotte my entire life and never knew there was a Chicken King off Yorkmont, wow! I am so glad that now I know because I go to this location often and the customer service is fantastic. I always get either a grilled chicken salad without onion and/or the gyro pita without onions and extra Tzatziki sauce. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Mrs. Carol is so sweet. I miss the conversations. The service is quick and the food is good. The reason for the 4 stars is because I went a particular day and when I arrived to the house the gyro and fries looked and tasted re fried... the meat was tough. Maybe, I just caught them on an off day. I will definitely continue to eat at this location. Usually, one bad experience and i'm done but not here. Simply because of the customer service and the fact 99% of the time I do receive excellent food. Not to mention, the place is clean and the prices are great. That truly makes a difference in my opinion.

The collards are a great way to eat something good tasting AND healthy for a change. Great thing to get when staying in the hotel nearby cuz u can take them out of the fridge & eat them cold.Vegetarian options: collard greens

I’m a bit conflicted on my review. The fried chicken was amazing, really some of the best I had! But the sides were a let down. Mac & cheese had zero flavor—had to go grab the salt and pepper. Mashed potatoes and gravy tasted good but were cold. After I placed the order, I was told it would take about 15 minutes, which was totally fine because I had time to kill, but it actually took 35 minutes. The chicken is made to order, which I appreciate, but they should figure out how to properly serve everything warm. Even then, I didn’t receive all of the chicken and she brought out more about 10 minutes later. She gave me an extra piece because of the wait. So I’d come again, but just for the chicken..it really was that good.Atmosphere was just scattered, unorganized tables and chairs. They could do better and this place would have some really good potential. The staff was kind too. Hope this helps.
Felt very disrespected. Wasn’t greeted when I walked in. Honestly I felt like I was very unwelcome for it. And then the other customer who was engaged in the conversation with the lady upfront when they were ignoring me, interrupted me when I was placing my order and yelled over me to somebody in the back who wasn’t even in the room. They just lost a lot of money.
