DQ is definitely a staple in the Queen City. I grew up going to DQ both the Central Ave and Wilkerson location. My favorite is the Peanut Buster Parfait with extra roasted peanuts, butterscotch dilly bars or dipped vanilla cones, and Reese/heath blizzards. I'm gonna miss DQ if he decides to close. The owner has done so much for the community. DQ was open before I was born. This brings back childhood memories for me. I hope he stays open as long as he can. I also understand after serving the community for years it's understandable to sell and enjoy the fruits of all his hard work to spend time with family. I'm gonna go as often as I can. Hands down the best service, staff and ice cream in the city.

There's this white lady who is very rude ahd has an attitude with me and my kid every time we ask for water .does she own the water??? Is it an inconvenience for her to give it to us?? Are we ruining her day for just asking for water?? Does she have a personal problem with it? She Should be mature and professional about it and tell me what's her issue is.I have been going to this place for 5 years now.I spend my money here all the time and I'm always respectful and kind to these people. that's who I am ,even after people talk down on me and treat me bad my heart stays kind but today this lady pissed me off by treating me like $hit. She had no reason to be rude and to have a bad attitude towards me.No reason to treat us like that. I asked her for her name she ignored me and refused to give it to me. I told her I was gonna make a compliant about her and she said something in a rude manner she acted like it was no big deal for her. she had a smirk on her face treating it like a joke. I calmly walked away. I will speak with corporate because she shouldn't be working in customer services treating people like this and act like is okay and getting away with it .and yes she been acting like this for a while now. My kid doesn't even want to go there anymore because of how she made us feel. I will not let this go because it wasn't right.

Brought a banana split and the ice cream didn't seem as firm. It melted quickly. I hasn't gotten to out of the parking lot before it started dripping and becoming like a milkshake. It's not as it used to be. Had bananas and cut cherries pineapple and chocolate and no longer maple walnuts(the new term is wet nuts). Can we go back to the retro banana splits? I didn't like this one.

My wife & I stopped by for a late night treat. This place is like the old school Dairy Queen (or current Sonic set-up) with an outside walk-up window for ordering food (no drive thru or indoor place to sit). We each got a blizzard, and despite about 7 people ahead of us, we waited maybe 5 minutes for our food. It was a bit cold and windy so we didn't eat outside at the provided tables that could be used. The food order was accurate and all in it was a good experience. I would definitely go back if I was in town again.

Dairy Queen located at 2732 Wilkinson Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28208 is the very 1st Dairy Queen in the World! Late 1940’s this not gigantic chain opened. Owner Mr. Walters I enclose a photo of as he was on the property when I came to review. Has owned it since the 1970’s.Food here is great as always expected from a DQ. Delicious soft serve ice Cream and their Hot Dogs are amazing. Low prices and a good amount of food too! Brings back memories seeing the original building with the Eskimo girl on the top with a cone in her hand.ENJOY!Parking: Big lot!Kid-friendliness: Kids love to go to DQ!

This location is closed. If you’re going to be closed at least update your hours so people don’t waste their time.

Even though the Wilkinson DQ is right next to a busy road, it's still such a cute location with its vintage signage and picnic tables that give you a great view of the sunset. The cupfection was tasty but a little too sweet for my taste - next time back to the classic Oreo blizzard!

This might be the worst Dairy Queen I have ever been to. To blizzards and food is literally half the quality of any other Dairy Queen I have been to. The amount of ingredients in a blizzard is laughable compared to prosperity church location.

Classic DQ, nice looking cation for a cold chocolate dip cone, on a sunny summer day. Will happily visit again and again!
