I have been to Fern a few times but this is my first review. We arrived at a busy time of day for brunch, we were seated right away. The staff was warm and welcoming. Our waiter, Cody, was extremely kind and prompt. He was just right with the table visits and always available when we needed him. The food was outstanding, as usual. I ordered the "chicken" and waffles, my Mom ordered the scramble. The food was prepared well and the presentation was perfect. Any restaurant that serves $5 mimosas is a keeper for me. Lol! All in all, I would say there was no room for improvement. I throughly enjoyed my dining experience at Fern.

This restaurant had GREAT food and AWESOME decor for my niece's birthday. I gave it a 3 stars because of the HORRIBLE service by Caitynne J and lady with blonde hair. They were so rude as servers and we will not be back because of it. How insensitivity to try to ruin someone's day!

First time to fern and was pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was! Ordered the burger, red pepper pasta and Brussel sprouts and all three were amazing! Food was great and ordered the fern drinks, also very good. Best vegan spot I've been to in Charlotte, I'll Definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Me and my friend were passing through Charlotte and looked for a place to get a vegan lunch and found your place. We really enjoyed the food and service. Thank you for providing vegan food options in a world saturated with animal products! Will definitely recommend your place or visit again if I am ever in the area again
Okay food for the price. Decided to try this venue after hearing rave reviews from a friend.Chimichanga was massive, but one texture/flavor throughout. Ohm burger was a massively mushy salt bomb, the saving graces were the fresh veg on the burger and the Cesar side salad. The brussels were our favorite part of the meal. I was bummed they were out of carrot cake, that could've been a good finish to the night, maybe!

Of Charlotte's several vegetarian restaurants, this one may be the closest to the city center, and the most conventional-feeling restaurant for the average consumer. They were offering indoor seating and outdoor bubbles when I visited. It was around 4:30, and they were still offering the lunch menu (apparently dinner doesn't kick in until it's really 5:00). I was perfectly fine with trying their Om burger. I like white beans, and this thing was about as delicious as you could imagine a white bean burger being. The pattie itself with a robust white bean flavor and a delicious crisp on the outside, and a fantastic garlicky sauce and fresh-tasting garnishes exploded in every bite. I got it with a side salad, which had some pretty nice Caesar-ish dressing. They were training new staff when I visited, much to my bemusement. The breadth of the menu I was offered wasn't that impressive, but they executed well and I could certainly return at another time.

My love and I came to visit here again yesterday for brunch. This is actually my 3rd or 4th time here and I wanted to provide the good and the not-so-great of this restaurant. The food is always tasty, that is one thing that has been consistent. Yesterday's experience was a bit off putting and just something for visitors and the restaurant to consider moving forward. It was brought to my attention that the sanitation score at Fern is 90, which is pretty low. We got to Fern to dine in around 12:45p, they close at 2, I did appreciate that they weren't turning anyone away even with walk-ins coming in like 30 minutes before they closed. I did however find a piece of hair in my food (I got the Om burger) and it seemed like when I informed the waitress of this, she kind of had an attitude and I would like to believe that this was not the case. Service wise, our glasses of water were only filled up when we sat down, never refilled throughout our entire dine-in and not checked on other than right after our food was brought out- which it was in a timely manner. I must say that this isolated experience has somewhat skewed my view of Fern both with the low sanitation score, finding hair in my burger, and lack of customer service. I may order takeout in the future but dining in wouldn't be my first choice.
