A truly hidden gem in south Charlotte. Sandwich's come open face which don't prefer but order anyway. They give you plastic fork and knife so bring your own. Which I do. Half of the sandwich comes home it just too big. Pickles great. Very NY which is great. Please don't miss this sleeper. As they have moved I've moved with them

I'm from Cleveland where they have slymans. It's not as big, but the taste is awesome. The people are friendly and service is fast. I only wish I could order it like I do in Cleveland. Lean smerf with mustard. You tend to get it a little fatty but it's still good.

First time eating at this location. I was shopping Nextdoor and decided to order a Pastrami Sandwich and Matzoh ball soup. I was very pleased with the service and the taste of the food. I would recommend. I order a Pastrami sandwich, soup and the order came with a side pickle and coleslaw for about $20.00 .

My wife and I are pastrami lovers. We moved from around New York area and missed a good pastrami. We’ve been looking for a good pastrami place in charlotte area. My wife found Katz deli on line and we decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness, let me tell you our experience. We each took 1/2lb pastrami without knowing how good it was going to be. What a great decision we made. The taste was amazing and mouth watering. It was that good. The staff were so amazing. It took a minute late to get my order but it was worth it bc they made fresh rye bread. The girl who took care of the order kept me updated that they’re waiting for the fresh bread as I ordered more rye bread. While I was waiting I saw more repeat customers coming in. The place was packed. Next I’m going to try corned beef. My hats off to the owner. Please keep up the great job you’re doing. ?

i moved to north carolina from just outside of the big apple in 2012. this really gave me the classic deli vibe. guys behind the counter even chatting about new york sports teams, service was awesome and food was phenomenal. one of my new favorite spots for sure!

I'm being generous in my 3 stars. Customer service means a lot to me. The owners and their daughter (I assume it's the owners and their daughter) are pretty much what you'd expect from New Yorkers. Brusque and unwelcoming. This may be a good place for fellow northerners who are used to the attitude to get "home style" food, but I won't be back.
Food was okay. For a NY deli, the bagel was less than par. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich was okay but the roll was almost stale.

Just moved into town and was looking for a New York style deli. Katz did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, knish, and matzo ball soup. All 3 were delicious and I will definitely be back.
Love this place. The portions are generous, people are terrific and the prices are not bad for the portion size. Excellent!
