Spent $220 for a pre-paid 3 course Brunch, which was terrible. Service was really behind because they clearly did not properly plan. When we finally received our first round of drinks, they were served in a small jar vs. the glasses everyone else had, because they had run out of dishes. Which we understood and was fine. We continued to wait and received our first round of food (an hour after we sat), and it was sub-par but we still figured we would hold out and give them a chance to get better. The second course of food came out (30 minutes later) and the seafood gumbo was cold and congealed. We could not eat it, and therefore told them we did not want to continue with the experience. The manager gave me his number and told me he would have the refund processed the next day. I have followed up 3 times, and each time he says he is checking on it but now 3 weeks later I have still not been refunded.

We had a good time at Leah & Louise, with excellent service from Aja (sorry if I spelled your name wrong.) we loved the cornmeal brioche, a revelation, and the oxtail was very good too. The mussels were tasty but the vinegar was a bit strong for delicate mussels in my opinion. I especially enjoyed a mocktail they made for me with the spiced hibiscus syrup.

Leah & Louise delivers an all-around fantastic experience. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name because she did a great job. She was both friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. I ordered the Oxtail and Grits, which was the most thought-out dish I’ve had in a while. Everything was on point: taste, texture, and presentation. Highly recommend this spot for dinner!

A friend and I went for the Biggie Brunch which was a prepaid experience. Our reservation was for 130, we were not sat until 330. They clearly were severely behind and couldn't catch up. The staff seemed very lackadaisical about making sure customers were satisfied (I'm sure they were tired —as there was one host& one waiter for a packed house) & we weren't offered anything for the 2 hour wait for a previously made reservation. The food was OK. The menu probably had too many options and caused the domino effect of extreme waiting times. The desert was inedible & we ended up just leaving it on the table. Drinks were pretty tasty. The music was extremely loud, we were shouting at one another. All in all we expected way more from L&L , especially for this event.

While I was excited for the opportunity to listen to class hip hop and enjoy a great meal with likeminded individuals, my experience quickly soured as I was extremely disappointed by the pace of the service. While I had reservations @ 1130 we were not seated until well after 1:45pm. While the initial first course was good we did not get to sample the main course, dessert or second and third drinks. We had to leave given that we were scheduled to work at 3 and the main course had not been served by 2pm. Prior to this experience I had visited L&L on many occasions but I was extremely disappointed and saddened given this was my best friends birthday brunch. Overall I felt this was a wasted opportunity

A friend and I dined here for a Biggie themed brunch. Our reservation was for 11am; however, we were not seated until about 12:20pm. The space is small and intimate, which is nice. But the fact that the wait was over and hour even with a reservation was off-putting. Despite that, the ambiance and food was great. The dessert for the brunch was worth the wait.

Dined for the 'Biggie Brunch' experience. It was cool! The food was AMAZING! They had a prefixed menu with several choices that I may not have considered otherwise. It was 4 courses with 3 cocktails to accompany the meal throughout the experience. Everything that I had was flavorful! The only pitfall was service. There was a long wait between first and second course. It wouldn't have been noticeable if the courses were in bigger portions, but since the portions were about 4-5 bites, waiting took longer than actually consuming the dish. There were two servers and the host that took care of everyone but it seems as though they could use some more assistance. Overall, it really was a nice experience and I would do it again next year!

After waiting a long time to try this and coming to Charlotte for this restaurant, I was very disappointed. Our server clearly had a bad day and we got the short end the stick. She didn't smile one time, ask if we were okay, and was rushing us out the door. To start we order chicken skins (amazing), cabbage (was very sweet and a teensy portion). I ordered the oxtail and grits and had to send it back. It was slimy, fatty, and tasted like dish soap. I sent it back, which is a big deal for me, and ordered scallops. They were okay but the dish lacked flavor. I was so upset. Everything needs more season. I had a drink with cognac in it and it was watered down and about four sips. Not exaggerating, four sips not gulps. I was going to get dessert but we were clearly being rushed out the restaurant by the staff. Please don't accept 8:30pm reservations that you seat at 8:45pm if this is how you are going to act. We felt in the way and rushed. We are customers and should be allowed to ask questions without feeling like a bother. The level of disappointment I had leaving there was truly upsetting. I wanted to love it, I wanted to love it so much I went back every day I was here. Sadly that didn't happen.

Interesting place. Service was C+. Menu not extensive and overworked and not cheap. Seems like they are living on their Beard nomination laurels. Hate to come across like this, but...

We had a great time at Leah & Louise. The food was great, very tasty. The staff was very friendly. Our server Asia was amazing. She's very knowledgeable about the menu and very colorful in her presentation. We give it 5 stars. We will be returning.

Love supporting my people... service was awesome, loved the intimacy of the space.Limited vegetarian options (2) that weren't very good. Heard the menu rotates bi-weekly. Guess this wasnt my week.Pricey for a salad the size of a small side salad in a big bowl. Asked for a piece of bread, cost as much as the salad! OMG!!Didn't make a fuss, but no recommendation from me.Vegetarian options: Limited options, price not worth what was brought out

Have been to this restaurant a couple of times before. However, I found the quality of food was not as outstanding as before and the waitress was all alone, thus her service to our table was very shabby. Because she was so rushed, she got my order wrong even after I repeated it. It will be a long time when I will be seated in this place.
