This was my favorite pizza place (and some of the best beer and atmosphere) that we drive across town for, but my latest pizza was fairly awful... Barely cooked, weird cheese, and well below the bar heist/Livy's had set for the previous 3 years. I've been recommending this to folks all over town but fear I've been wrong to do so of late.

Unfortunately half of the pizza still had slightly raw dough in the crust. The bottom of the pizza doesn’t get cooked nearly enough either, too much flop even for Neapolitan style. Also, the char taste is too much - you’re supposed to clean the oven bake stone once in a while instead of serving people old charcoal. Hopefully this place gets it together, or Heist finds a new food option.

This is my absolute favorite pizza ever. We’ve since moved away from Charlotte but every time we come I HAVE to have Livy’s at least once if not a couple times even for a short visit!! The carnivoro is my favorite - perfect mix of delish meats, a little heat from the Calabrian chili oil, and a nice doughy crust.Livy’s is located within Heist Brewery’s Barrel Arts location. You can order inside to take it to go or stay and enjoy a brew and have your food brought to you. They have a huge casual indoor area as well as an amazing patio and outdoor area with a large grassy field - perfect for bringing along dogs or kids. They also frequently have live music indoors and/or outside to enjoy. Overall, 10/10.Livy’s, please make a location in the Durham/Raleigh area so I can once again enjoy your pizza weekly!

The beer cheese was subpar. The pretzels were so dry and dense and were heavily salted. The Margherita pizza was not authentic, the sauce was heavy and the pizza was generally dry because the spots without cheese had dried out in the oven. My husband got the napoliatana pizza, and thought the toppings were ok. 2 stars for the staff being super nice and the crust of the pizza being decent.
It's not terrible but it's also not great.The beer cheese was a disapointment. It was slightly bitter and not savory. Mellow Mushroom has better beer cheese.We ordered the carnivoro.The pizza was just okay. Marinara was on the sweet side. The apperance of the pizza - I would describe it as something trying to be appear as modern. It was not executed correctly. The burnt spots takes off points. The cheese shavings were scattered with no care (spots with no cheese).The menu misleaded us thinking this was going to be a modern take of Italian pizza. I'm sorry but I would definitely rather eat at a pizza chain than here.Also, location and the name was confusing. We thought it was separate from Heist Brewery but you actually go in and order the food from the bar area. So yeah, bar food.

Enjoy the pizza here, but chaos on the ticket system. Ordered and was told it’d be an hour, fine. Show up an hour later to be told an additional 30 minutes due to only 3 people in kitchen, understandable. Another 30 minutes go by and it’s finally ready… 2 small pizzas in 2 hours. There was at one point 30-40 tickets in queue with few of the staff on their phone and one tying up her hair right by food window. No offering or apologies for the wait mentioned and will not go back. Great pizza but not worth the experience.

I definitely see this place getting 5 stars when I return! Came here on a whim with my niece and I was a little confused at first because she said "let's go to Livy's" I put it in my gps and was like wait..I don't see a Livy's so for anyone who is like me-just know it's inside Heist brewery. The brewery itself is very nice. Open concept, nice spaces to hang out and watch the games, eat and drink. The outdoor area was also really nice. I was surprised to see they had a nice selection of cigars and bourbon! For food we had the Carnivoro pizza and it was delicious. It had just enough spice and I loved the crust! Will definitely return!
