A very pleasant surprise when we had to spend a night at the airport hotel (Windham) next door. I was expecting the usual mediocre Mexican fare, but the food here was really well made and the menu is huge. Don't be fooled by the backwater location and 1960s look. Miguel's is top notch.

I always judge any other Mexican place by Miguel's Pork Chile Verde. I have gone to this place for a number of years and never been disappointed. No other place in Charlotte does Chile Verde as good as Miguels. So much so that I never can order anything else but this dish.

Well, I will tell you this is like a very old diner. Not fancy, until you get to the food they serve here! It tastes as better than actual what you might get in Mexico itself. The food is very dialed authentico! One order of 3 shredded beef tacos, had to turn into two orders because they were that good! Ask for the Diablo sauce! A perfect flavorful hotter sauce then gringo version you will get with chips, if your on the spicier side as I am. The romance here is strictly the food and friendly environment I encountered! I wish this was my neighborhood place!

this place definitely needs to do better! I ordered quesabirrias and let me start by saying it was so bad I could not take a 2nd bite. Not adequately cooked either. The chips were stale so couldn’t even eat them either. The service was awful… no smile, never asked if everything was ok but they did to the table behind us ?

First impressions are everything this is my first time interview establishments I have known Miguel for several years we understand establishments we were seated and ordered margaritas we received a picture of daiquiris with hardly any alcohol in it two glasses and straws the waitress who was not bilingual and very rude brought the first appetizers which consisted of nachos and cheese the cheese was so watery that it sled off the nachos I stopped there ask for my check I'm not sure if the other customers realize what they were eating but it wasn't authentic Mexican we decided to go to Pinky's well we knew we can have real margaritas an excellent meal thanks Pinky's...... Miguel my friend I was not impressed.
