The deviled eggs were a nice offering on the app/small plates menu, very good. Unfortunately, they had already run out of the fried oysters for the night (6:30 PM). Our server was friendly and attentive, although she was serving a number of tables. We plan to return again soon.

We started with the flatbread small plate. It was so delicious!! We recommend it highly. We had the chicken and waffles. It is always really good. The other dish eaten as an entree was the sweet potato ravioli. It is amazing! Never disappoints. Accompanied by the ever delicious mixed green salad. For dessert we shared the grilled poundcake with strawberries and homemade strawberry ice cream. So, so good!! We love NSK!! Great restaurant! Great servers! Great all around group!

Excellent experience. New South flies under the radar since it is out in the suburbs, but it is one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. I am 62 and started going there in my late 30s. Tonight may have been my best meal yet!

The fried chicken portion was a little small for the price however the Tequila Sour was great and the bartender was very professional. The chicken was tender and crispy.

The food and service here are always great and positive. My friend and I always enjoy eating here. Atmosphere is decent on the restaurant and the bar side, but going to be a little more noisy at the bar, which is expected. We enjoy dining here, and it has always been a positive experience. Great local restaurant and consistently one of our favorites! Diverse menu with multiple healthy options and things that can modified as needed. Superior quality of all food items coupled with exceptional service - all very consistent!!! We had the crab cakes, side of collard greens, salmon on lentils/kale, and a side of roasted butternut squash with brussel sprouts - each dish perfectly cooked, excellent flavors.

All four entrees were excellent. Shrimp and Grits were fabulous. So were the collards. One person got the country fried steak and loved it. Also the grilled chicken side dish was good. Graham was the person taking care of us. He was outstanding. Lots of parking.

I planned dinner with my mom, aunt, grandmother, which is a tough group to please. Everyone, even my vegetarian aunt, enjoyed their meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to coming back and seeing what's new on the menu! They even had a decent selection of local craft beer.

As always, New South continues to impress. I have never had a bad dining experience here. The service is always fantastic, the food always delicious, and the prices cannot be beaten. They have something for every palate and appetite. New South is an incredible value given the quality provided. If I could provide more than five stars for value, I would. Highly recommend!
