First let me dispel the claim of "Peruvian Restaurant". This place is as Peruvian as Chipotle is Mexican. In other words, este lugar sirve una mezcolanza de comidas, empanadas colombianas, arroz mexicano, pollo que ni siquiera es asado, es al horno, y hasta bandeja paisa. I'll give it one star because the rice and beans were great, but that's pretty much where it ends. The entire idea of this restaurant is rotisserie chicken, but the chicken is awful. Dry, flavorless, and not even rotisserie, and perhaps not even fresh. The food here is an amalgamation of just throwing things on a wall and seeing what hits, and the worst part is that besides its lack of identity it's also just bad. The sad part is I thought I was going to get away with just having a bad meal, but now let's just say I'll be spending the rest of the night in the bathroom.

Have not tried Peruvian food before and found this place on Google. 1st pic is beef empanadas $3 USD each. 2nd pic is breaded chicken breast with rice, beans and plantains for $16 USD. 3rd pic is grilled pork chops with rice, beans and plantains for $16 USD. Service and food excellent. Recommend!

Excellent food and service. I tried the Sangria, is fresh with a citrus flavor. The Tostones with avocado as an appetizer is the beginning of an amazing meal. The family combo is enough food for a family of four. The chicken is full of flavor. The Ambiance is bohemian, blended with Latin Music, perfect to invite everybody to have the most extravagant dinning experience.

Ordered the 1/4 chicken and grilled pork chop entrées (chose rice, beans & plantains for both orders). Loved the chicken but pork chop not as much. The chicken was moist but the chop was the dry. The rice, beans & plantains, like the chicken were delicious. I will return to try other items.

This place was a great find for picky former New Yorkers like us. Terrific, authentic food, great ambiance and friendly service. The prices are also very reasonable compared with nearby restaurants. Convenient location in Blakeney that easy to miss. We now go here regularly with our kids and everyone is happy. Try the Sangria!

Authentic South American food, original mural art, festive atmosphere. Every time I eat there, fond memories of backpacking vacations south of the border come alive... The food is good, and it feels down home and special. The owner family is genuinely nice to everyone. I've taken friends there and everyone loves it. Did I mention it's affordable? They also have takeout. Eating it right now... yummy. My favorite is the pulled chicken salad with avocado, but I have yet to find something I don't like.

There may be several places LIKE Pio Pio, but the taste, quality, and authenticity of Pio Pio's food is unmatched. The chicken and sides are way better than their competitors'. For a very reasonable price, I can feed a family of 4 and still have enough for a second meal, or at least lunch the next day.
