I had a great experience here. The salsa was amazing, the empanadas with the chipotle mayo were really good, and the guacamole was really good. Service and atmosphere were good and overall I definitely would recommend this place!

The service was extremely rude and unprofessional. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait and about 40 minutes into the wait we asked how much longer and the hostess said there were still a few more people in front of us. About an hour goes by and we ask again if we will get seated. The host after coming back from flirting with a customer for 20 mins, went and said he would check, went to the hostess and started laughing and goofing off and finally came and told us we wouldn't be able to get seated. Completely unprofessional to have us wait there that long and not be up front about it, so we could have left and gone somewhere else. Observing their responses to other bad reviews is extremely unprofessional as they continue to make a joke about the reviews and don't consider to even try and fix the issue. I will not be eating here or recommending to anyone else.

I don't live in Charlotte, but every time I go there, I always try to come here! My partner and I's favorite dish is the quesa birria tacos; my mouth is watering just thinking about them! The staff is always so lovely! Side note: the place is quite tight, and it's always jam-packed whenever I have gone, but that doesn't stop the service from being great!! Visit them if y'all are in Charlotte

My favorite chain restaurant! When it comes to Mexican restaurants, Charlotte has wayyyy too many local authentic locations to bother with terrible chain food. But, there is an exception! Que Onda is quality burritos/tacos/drinks from an incredible staff. I stopped by for their lunch special on a Tuesday, it ends at 3:00pm at the time of this review. Style points for even having a "happy hour". It consist of burritos and enchiladas with lunch portions. I really enjoyed my chicken burrito, it was coated in their white queso sauce. The size was plenty for one person, the filling of beans, rice and chicken was just right. The flavor was incredible, it tasted fresh and the chicken was seasoned and juicy without being overly salty. They also provide chips and salsa for free (a deal breaker, and decider for me if they charge for chips and salsa), and Que Onda passed with flying colors. The location is excellent, right at the top of where uptown starts. You'll have to find street parking, which isn't a challenge at the part of uptown. There is a small patio out front, but an excellent spot to people watch a get a feel for uptown. The staff is friendly and attentive, which is all you can ask for. This location at least at the time had a large number of Latinx working in the kitchen, and as host. I do appreciate some representation of the food I'm eating being reflected in the staff. It adds an authenticity for me, and I get to use my Spanish if it's welcomed :) Pro Tip: They have a Margarita flight thats not on the menu...shhhhhhh

Alexandrea is a PRECIOUS SWEET LITTLE THING! She was so helpful with suggestions and made us feel special being our first time here. Food was so good I woddled out the door filled with yummy flavors in my tummy. They have cool daily specials which is wavy too. I vibe with place and with Alexandra. She’s #1 in my heart. Brought my goodies home to eat for a night snack:)

Got sat at 4:47, no one came to talk to us for 13 minutes so we left. Atmosphere was fun and casual, food smelt amazing, just wish I could've tasted it.

First timers enjoy steak tacos + tequila flight! We weren’t super hungry so we were just sharing the salsa, queso, & fresh guac trio (yum!) and 3 steak tacos. Delish! My husband really enjoyed the tequila flight with Sofia’s help to pick out her favorite Respositos. Sofia was excellent and very helpful. My only knock was that the mojito I ordered, was not what I expected. It had sour mix in it, and did not have mint leaves. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t what I expect from a mojito. Overall the experience was great!

Alexandra was our server and she was fantastic! Super attentive and friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Blake, the manager helped me redeem my Offline member coupon which was great. Overall, the experience was great. The food was delicious. My fiancée and I recommend the Tres Leches Cake and the Chicharrones Guac!

I was excited to try out this new restaurant and get drinks. This was the first time I heard of the restaurant and decided to give it a try. Upon ordering our first drinks we realized one tasted like pure salt and was disgusted at the taste. We lifted the cup to realize it was covered with a layer of salt. We informed the waitress and asked if we could get a new one. The manger, Noe came over and out the gate came with a defensive demeanor. Instead of trying to understand the problem at hand he tried to down talk and make the customer feel wrong. He didn’t even take the time to look at the bottom of the cup. Instead was very rude and disrespectful. No, he did not offer a new drink. He stated that because the drink came with a rim of salt that a grain would fall in the cup. The issue was more than a grain of salt. This is why I have added this photo so everyone can see what kind of drinks they serve. Management is out of hand and I would not recommend coming to this location. If you do, don’t get a salt rim unless you want to eat salt.
