It's a ghost kitchen, which I have nothing against, but the service at this place to pick up your food is bad. I told the guy at the counter I was picking up food, and I had gotten a text saying my order was ready. he said it'd come out the side door, so I went and waited with everyone else by the door. There were at least 8 people waiting, and they had been in there a while based on most people's annoyed attitudes. ISomeone came out the side door and I told them my name and the restaurant I ordered from. They said ok and walked away. 20 minutes later, someone finally came out with my food, and you could tell it had been sitting a while because it was barely warm inside the bag. The food itself wasn't bad. It would have tasted better if it was hot and the bun wasn't soggy from sitting.

This place is a ghost kitchen, which isnt inherently a bad thing, but it can be confusing so just know that going in. They made probably the best cheesesteak I’ll have in Charlotte( not that theres much competition but still). Only thing is that you can’t really stray further into the menu too much. The pizza I had today was really mediocre. Better than Pizza Baby across the street but that’s a very low bar. The fries were the biggest disappointment, too crunchy and look nothing like they do on the website or the uberEats menu. But if youre in Charlotte and are really hankering for a cheesesteak, it’s hard to do much better than here.

My first experience with Queen City Cheesesteaks (QCCS) was not a good one. I ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak and paid for them to add sweet peppers. I don’t care that that add on only cost .50, it’s the principle - you, as a business, offered a product/good/service and didn’t provide it. Then when it was brought to your attention, you did nothing to correct it immediately. You have no integrity, you have no honor. You entered into a contract by choosing to open a business, and with that contract you agreed to provide a service for a nominal fee. I paid the agreed upon fee, but did not fully receive the service I paid for. You breached the contract. You received payment for goods not rendered, then you refused to make the customer whole. But people seem to really enjoy your food. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to have that same experience/opportunity. Either this was an off day for you or people are settling and have grown accustomed to mediocrity. I do remember that the man who answered the phone said it had been a busy day. That’s a blessing! But if you want that to continue, perhaps you should devise a method to ensure orders are being made correctly even at peak hours/high volume. Measure twice, cut once.Pictures are below. At first I thought it was chicken salad because it looked gray, choppy, and lackluster. No peppers, extremely diced onions, and I guess mayo was on it. Didn’t seem fresh, fries were cold (but I attributed that to the delivery time), and the cookies were dry. I will not order again nor will I recommend if asked by colleagues.

Queen City Cheesesteaks is located in the City Kitchen on Thrift Road. This is a Ghost Kitchen that does have some seating usually. Currently they are doing renovations so the seating is unavailable at the time I writing this review so it is just takeout. As someone who relocated here from the Philly area I will say these cheesesteaks are one of the best that Charlotte has to offer. The meat is chopped up into small pieces just how I personally like it. The major deficiency here in Charlotte in general when it comes to cheesesteaks is the bread that is used, other than that everything was perfect here at Queen City Cheesesteaks. The cheesesteaks are also hefty, so you get your money's worth, the prices are definitely fair. They don't just have cheesesteaks. Their top seller are their mambo wings and their assortment of egg rolls are delicious as well. This is a family owned business. The Owner is really nice and is assisted by his son and daughter. I will add this my places on my very short list of where to get cheesesteaks in Charlotte and will definitely be back.

I went here yesterday afternoon looking over their menu and I saw they had a salmon cheesesteak, so I said I would give them a shot. Let's just say that turned out to be a good decision. I used to live in Philly so I know what a good husky cheesesteak is supposed to look, feel and taste like. They covered all 3 of those areas. One thing that I didn't like is their choice of mayo. They use Dukes which is not my first or second option if I got a choice. I like Miracle Whip or Hellmans over Dukes. Just my humble opinion but I would definitely come back and support again.

Probably the best cheesesteak i have had in charlotte. Equal to cheats if not better. Wish i lived closer i usually go to lees hoagie house which is great also.As to people complaining about the pricing, the steak is excellent quality and their prices are a bit less than other cheesesteaks. Its the going rate and you can thank joe biden for that.If you enjoy cheesesteaks this is definitely top three in charlotte.

Honestly upon walking in to place my order I was lost had there not been a worker out there wouldn't have known what to do how to order , however the cheesesteak was very good with flavor packed in there however with paying 15.99 for the sandwich isn't worth it the sandwich was kinda small for the price and didn't come with fries or no side. No drink anything . Wouldn't say I'd be back but it was a good sandwich
