Popped in to try after getting my nails done! Service was super friendly and great beer selection, plus wine and misc for people who don't drink beer which is a nice touch! My only downside was they were closing at 4 for a private party but other than that I enjoyed the Kolsch and loved the vibe inside!

This was my first visit to Southern Strain and I was impressed!It’s very dog friendly—they even sell dog treats at the bar.I’m not a beer drinker but they do have prosecco on tap and wine in a can (red, white, and rosé) for the non-beer drinkers like me.The vibe and decor are friendly and inviting. Lots of cool art on the walls too.It’s located next to Harris Teeter so you can pick up groceries on your way home!
