I love this place. Tried it in a whim one day just because of the fact that you can barely see it from the street. How does this pace stay in business? They must be doing something right…right?Yes they do a lot of things right. Not every restaurant is going to knock everything out of the park and that's ok. i will say, we have found some great things on the menu that keep us coming back.Chile Verde is awesome. They do a great Birria and have some great tacos. But don't skip the Verde. It’s a house specialty.I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because it is exactly what I expected when i first pulled up and what i expect a great taqueria to look like.

Even though it's hidden in a corner, I implore you to not ignore it! This has very soft and delicious meat. With a side of rice and beans, I ordered a taco of chicken, a taco of carne asada, a taco of al pastor, and a taco of birria. Everything has a freshly prepared flavor. The meat was cooked to perfection and the spice was perfectly balanced. Juicy, soft, and not overdone. I heartily suggest it to everyone who appreciates real tacos ?

Keep searching for a place!! Lol Thought I found a good hole in the wall, especially by the 4.2 star they have on Yelp, but this place was very disappointing. The menu prices are good considering inflation and all of that. But the food sucks. The salsa was horrible. The first salsa brought out had the consistency of water. I have never seen it so thin. So I asked for a spicer salsa and a new one came with the same consistency. The meat here has no flavor. Quesa-Birria Tacos came with cheese dip inside instead of the traditional melting cheese. The consomme was full of birria fat. Overall the food was MID. Not worth the money. Let's talk service - very slow service even though the place was not packed. No refills. Loved dropping stuff off and running away before checking everything was okay. I won't be back and I don't recommend trying it out. I have no idea how this place has a 4 star. I'm from Atlanta and I'm convinced the people in Charlotte do not know good food lol especially if they're used to this type of quality

From the moment I stepped out of my car, the terrifying loitering characters and dilapidated building told me this food was going to either change my life or send me home in the hospital. I am pleased to report the former.No hostess, filthy, and run down. A gumball machine that witnessed the towers falling. The TV? Barbie’s Youtube Channel. Wall outlets blessed with the landlord’s special. Stale chips and cold beans.But I have promised my first born child in exchange for just one more enchilada.I am Changed. My friend and I had the experience of a lifetime. We had so much fun that we had to legally change our names due to the fact that the essence of our beings were altered too much, and we had to abandon our former identities. When I die, bury me at Taqueria Los Altos.Also, they deliver on GrubHub.

Nice place with very good food. 4 stars because of the prices. 2 birria tacos for $13 + tax/tip... ouch. Prices on the rest of the menu seem pretty standard.

These were the best tamales I’ve had and the enchiladas were great. Their dinner combinations are a great deal and you get a lot of great food (pictured). Our waitress was so kind and the service was very fast overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Ericka waitress was very rude over the phone. Asked them to remake my order they said they would have to charge me again for the item if they had it remade. Went inside the actual restaurant to speak to the man who claim he was the manager, and he refused to remake my sandwich. He said I’d have to again pay for a new one. Very bad customers service. No type of ethic or morale. He kept the $10.99 for my sandwich, and the actual sandwich they made wrong the first time. How does this help you keep your clientele? It’s just a sandwich!? That I paid for, and you couldn’t make it right for me? No thank you!

horrible place, the way customers get treated here makes you not wanna ever come back. apart from the fact the server had an atitltude over the phone while i was trying to place an order, i asked to speak to the manager due to the order i placed and the manager basically kicked us out and stated he couldn't remake the order.

They want every penny and I will no longer support. I’ve never received food from a Mexican restaurant and chips and salsa weren’t included. $4 for chips and salsa when I spent $30 on two entrees is ridiculous.
