Walked in for a take out order. Restaurant is dated. Staff was nice, wish their food was nice also. Ordered the chicken pita with fries. Good portion of chicken, with enough tziziki sauce. Asked for crispy fries. They might have been crispy when put in the box, but after the 10 minute ride in the box and plastic bag, it was difficult to tell, but they were also saturated in enough grease that it would have been difficult for them to ever be crispy. They were inedible. Also the tziziki was gelatinous and not my favorite

I love coming here for lunch the gyro is awesome. Best Greek restaurant in town. The desserts are awesome too!
We lived the aesthetic of Mad Greek. Very cute restaurant with great service.We had a chicken souvlaki plate and a pork souvlaki sandwich. The meats were well seasoned and the sauce was delicious. Everything was good. We wish it was less greasy. The fries were soggy with greasy and the meats were also very greasy.We will go back and try other items.

My wife & I were visiting Charlotte and decided to try this place as we love Greek food and don't have a Greek restaurant in our small town. We were seated promptly when we arrived and our drink order taken right after that. My wife ordered the original gyro plate (with traditional beef-lamb mix meat) and I ordered the pork gyro plate (with the meat coming from a shaved kebab style rack). The dinner plates come with a side and we each got fries. The food came out quick and was fresh & hot. We both loved our gyros and were especially pleased with the fries. The fries were thin shaved and fried and came out without salt on them which is nice if you prefer to season to taste. The fries were hot, and in my opinion just a tad greasy, like someone didn't shake them off after coming out of the fryer. We still enjoyed them and would love to get some more.Overall the service was great and the food was amazing. As someone who was stationed with military in several European locations I've been fortunate enough to have authentic Greek food, and this place is authentic for sure. Even had several old Greek guys sitting around talking just as you would find in a restaurant in Greece. This place seemed family-owned by Greeks and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys authentic Greek food.
