Ordered an online order on their app, but accidentally chose this location. I immediately called them to cancel the order. I have not received my refund. I called them a few days later and they got my information down and said they would tell their manager to refund me my order. It’s been about two weeks and still nothing. No one contacted me and I’ve still received no refund. Bad customer service.

I’m usually a big fan of acai bowls, getting them about twice a week from somewhere else, but my first try with Tropical Cafe was a total letdown. I live super close, under 5 minutes away, so I was shocked when my bowl arrived looking more like juice than an acai bowl. It had to have been sitting out before it even got to me. Plus, they messed up my order completely. When I called to complain, the person on the phone was just plain rude. Every time I’ve been to the store, they’re always moving at a snail’s pace, but this was the final straw for me. I’m done with them for good.

Overpriced smoothie tastes like ice water, staff was rude and when I asked where is my cookie dude said nothing pointed at a tray of pre-wrapped cookies like I was supposed to know. At these prices I should never feel uncomfortable. And these are the people who want to make $50 an hour

First time here and the service was horrible...they took wayyy too long and my jetty punch was iced punch.... ordered 2 smoothies and the LIL lime berry turned into a big lime berry because of too much ice and not enough fruit....it was iced down too. I waited 25 minutes with only 2 people on front of me. Never again

Soooo slow! Ordered online and it said 10 minutes. Got there a couple minutes early and was happy to wait as my smoothie wasn’t in the online order section. Another customer came in about 5 minutes later and ordered the same smoothie I got and somehow got hers ahead of me. They were busy so I patiently waited while they caught up with orders. I eventually went up to ask about mine when I could get someone’s attention only to see my smoothie was done and on their back counter. I had seen them make that one a few minutes earlier but had no idea it was mine. They didn’t bother to call out my name or bring it to the online order section. Ended up getting my smoothie almost 25 minutes after it said it would be ready online.

Today 3/5/24 we visited Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We arrived at 12:19 and didn't leave until 12:45. No we were not dining in, but instead waiting for our food. When we walked in people were waiting on their food and online orders were backed up and mixed in on the counter with to-go orders. We place our orders. She got a wrap and a smoothie and I ordered a sandwich but ended up getting a wrap. My mom ordered a beach bum with extra dark chocolate and was charged for it but didn't receive it and the smoothie was watery. I ordered a turkey bacon ranch sandwich and haven't received it. We waited and waited and after 20-25 minutes I asked about my sandwich. Which is when they then told me that they had no turkey and what would I like instead. They did offer some recommendations but all that just wasn't what I wanted and It would be more difficult to ask for a refund when there seems to be no management on site. I understand it takes time for food to be made. I just wasn’t prepared to wait 25 minutes for my food and a watery smoothie. Maybe I came on an off day. Some staff had an attitude, being out of uniform they were out of turkey and apple kale slaw. The staff was in slow motion. I just wish it was a better experience.

Visiting Charlotte for the week. Found my favorite smoothie spot. Got my favorites, Kiwi Quencher + Supergreen Caesar. Food and drinks were great. The two ladies working this Thursday morning was super nice and attentive. Clean store and spacious space. Parking lot in front.
