I was visiting Charlotte for the first time and was given the task to find a dinner spot for our group. We were all pescatarian, so options were already limited. I picked Zen Asian Fusion and was pleasantly surprised. The vibe inside was nice and the outdoor area had space heaters for the slight November breeze. Our food was presented exquisitely and the quality/taste was just as good with generous proportions. I spent only $60 for two people including Shirley Temples and a dessert. The service was also friendly and quick. It was good, we went back the next time we visited Charlotte.

Bland food with extremely overcooked seafood. Calamari, shrimp and clams were very hard and barely edible. Definitely not worth the time and money.

Sad to review this since it closes next week. The hibachi shrimp was wonderful as was the service. Try the ginger O cocktail, perfect before a seafood meal. (The tempura shrimp appetizer was not as good as I remember, but still good)

My wife and I were in Charlotte for the immersion Van Gogh. David (29 years experience) was our waiter. What a fabulous meal. After a couple of delicious cocktails we had Korean Beef tacos, kung Pao Chicken, seafood Paella and a couple of glasses of wine followed by a fabulous sorbet dessert. Service was perfect. Not rushed but attentive. David was outstanding. We will go back when we return to Charlotte.

Our favorite restaurant. We were greeted promptly and politely. The waiter, David, was attentive and helpful. The martinis were frosty and great. The food as always was well prepared and presented. A wonderful evening. Zen Fusion is a consistent place to dine.
Every single time I come here it is such a pleasant experience. The entire staff is phenomenal, and everything on the menu is delicious. I don't live in Charlotte anymore, but anytime I come back to visit family I always try to make it a point to visit Zen. I appreciate the hospitality of the owner and management so much, and somehow they still remember what I order after all this time passed :-)

The restaurant is spacious and the atmosphere is very chill. Great place for hanging out with friends or a date night. Our server David was polite and pleasant. This was my second visit here, the first time we ordered a paella de carne for two and it was filling and delicious! My husband ordered a sangria and I had the Lychee martini. Both drink were good. For dinner, we ordered a Churrasco de Cerdo and the Vietnamese Beef with white rice. Both proteins, was flavorful and tender. The Vietnamese Beef vegetables tender but crisp and sauce flavorful yet light. For dessert, we split a tres leche which was chef's kiss good. We had a very enjoyable night. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

My son and I had a very pleasant experience at Zen Fusion. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was good he best I've had in Charlotte. I ordered the grouper special which was delicious. My son had a stir fry that he enjoyed. We will definitely go back. David provided excellent advice and service.
We got pork potstickers which was better than the meal. We each got the hibachi chicken & shrimp with fried rice and veggies. The shrimp was good, but the chicken had a slick rubbery texture. The server was good, but was giving their life story to the other table behind us. The price has gone up and has gotten a little pricey for not having a show at a normal Japanese restaurant.

My friends and I stumbled upon this gem when we were in town to see the immersive Van Gogh exhibit. Who would think a restaurant could feature Japanese, Thai and Spanish and do them all extremely well? During Covid, I don't really expect good service at restaurants because I know places are short staffed. Here, the service was impeccable! We were seated quickly and brought water. We ordered a carafe of sangria which was delicious. Since I'd had the sangria I had to go with a Spanish dish, ordering the seafood paella. It was excellent. My friends enjoyed their Spanish and Thai dishes as well. Owner/manager was super friendly-- recommended other restaurants and activities to fill the rest of our time in town. Will definitely be back if I am in the area again!

Always great food and service! Long time favorite did not disappoint. Every selection was delicious and our server, David(I think) was excellent! We had an Asian entree, a Spanish entree, and the night's special, halibut. All were wonderful!

We have been fairly regular diners at Zen for years, and before that Sole. Service, food and experience are consistently at a high standard, and we always have a great experience. We go especially for the Spanish food, which is delicious. I highly recommend.
