The experience started out terrible because my cup that my drink was in had funk all around the rim. When I asked to have it replaced because it's disgusting the waiter named Josh had an attitude like it's not that big of a deal. I tried showing him the nasty stuff and he couldn't be bothered. He was just all around a horrible waiter. And it is a buffet and all his job entails is serving drinks.Dietary restrictions: Has very basic southern food.Parking: Nice parking lot and plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: No

Granny's has always been a favorite with our family. Great food and the pies are the best.
Great service but the food sucks!!!!Chicken was so dry I had to wash it down with a roll and the green beans had a raunchy funk to them. They have a sign saying they charge for wasted food so I'm guessing a lot probably gets wasted trying to find something edible.

It's a buffet, the roast was perfect ! sliced in front of you. Sides just like granny's.found the fried chicken a tad dry but great taste but my favorite is their sign on the buffet. Wasted food will be extra charge? I must say I didn't see any wasted food..

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I stayed in Cherokee because of the truck show they were having in Maggie Valley. On the way to the truck show, we passed Granny's Kitchen and it was packed, so we knew it was going to be good. I looked it up online and seen it had great reviews and the food looked great - southern country cooking.Later that evening, we decided to stop by there and get something to eat. The "buffet" was literally just one line...that's it. The food was bland and the collards tasted like they were cut, put in a pot of just water with an onion and that's it. The cornbread, I could lay foundation with how hard it was. The green beans, potatoes and the salad were decent, but it wasn't anything to brag about. The chicken was dry and the fish and shrimp tasted the exact same and were rubbery. For 2 people with one drink (Sprite), our bill was $40 and it wasn't worth half of that. Maybe it was just a bad day and things weren't what people were making it out to be, but there wasn't a lot to choose from to be called a buffet and to have the prices they had.
