9 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Chimney Rock

“Learned about this place in Blue Ridge Motorcycling magazine and stopped in today 12/20/2023 after visiting Chimney Rock SP. Glad I saw the article and stopped in cuz this place is awesome! I had the special which was a Blackened Shrimp PoBoy, my wife had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and my son had the Pork Nachos. It was all delicious! And don't forget the cole slaw on the side because it's the best cole slaw I've ever had. I'm not really a cole slaw guy, but I ate mine and scavenged the table to finish off everyone else's! The Nachos were piled high with pork and cheese. Their pork has a deliciously smoky flavor. Add in a basket of oven braised brussels sprouts....you won't be sorry you did! I washed it all down with a Devils' Head Red Ale which was excellent. And it was all served by great folks that made sure our visit was enjoyable. Oh, and they have several levels of deck so you can have a seat overlooking the river, or sit so close to it that there are signs about swimming! “Pleasant little cafe! We stopped there on our way through Chimney Rock.Very nice family and good cozy atmosphere. Surprised to find that you can get an old fashioned saloon style picture taken there along with a cup of espresso. Lots of choices of coffee drinks. “I've dined here twice in the last 6 months. Both times I had a dog, so I sat outside on the patio- and it is so nice. Beautiful views while you eat and enjoy your wine! Twice I've had the smash burger, and it is SO GOOD. Ordered the brussel sprouts on both visits as well, they are perfection. A lot of places toss them in a sweet and spicy Thai sauce- but not here- they use a different dressing and it's delicious! Today I did a wine flight, and that includes four 2 oz pours. I tried the Gruner Veltliner , The reserve Chardonnay the white blend with the GV/Chard/Riesling, and the Rose. They were all nice and refreshing. On my first visit I ordered a burger patty for my best girl, (It was her birthday, and we'd hiked 9+ miles!) and today the pups split a grilled chicken breast. They are super dog friendly, and bring out water for the dogs. We had the beignets for dessert today, they were delicious. If you are hiking around Chimney Rock, Bat Cave, Lake Lure, then I highly recommend planning your lunch or dinner here!“

“A little ice cream shop with outdoor seating within walking distance from Lake Lure Beach. They serve classic favorites. “I ordered the biggie breakfast and everything was well seasoned. My nephew enjoyed the blueberry pancakes. The food was so good I had to Google her. I ordered off of DoorDash. I plan to visit in person because I really enjoyed the food. I don’t have any photos because I devoured my food- it was that delicious“

“Brown butter bourbon truffle ice cream and coffee for my girlfriend and a banana split for me. The ice cream was smooth and the tasty, n ano will perfectly ripe but not overripe and they were plenty of goodies, nuts, pineapple and strawberries and top with the whipped cream and a cherry. All on the list of the things that we're not supposed to eat and it was most excellent.“

“Stopped out of curiosity- wasn't terribly hungry. I was greeted with a smile and told that 2 tacos would be perfect for my hunger level. Don't know what got into me- I generally don't order fish from a food truck unless I'm familiar with it- but I had a hankering for it so got the fish tacos. I was so pleasantly surprised. And for $6, you cannot go wrong.The location is kind off the beaten path, and there were still cars in and out mid-afternoon. “We left our previously loyal vineyard to visit this one and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles. Our tasting was fantastic, (guy with bun) couldn’t have delivered better service. The wine was fantastic from white to red. We left with two bottles. The outdoor atmosphere was beautiful with a great fireplace. We are loyal customer of Marked Tree in the future.“
