Yummy food. I had salad with chicken he had salmon with capers. Went for hubby's birthday very friendly pistachio gelato a definite must. Will be back.

I ordered a 14” for dinner/lunch, and two cakes. I like the meat pizza, banger. The coffee/whisky cake is alright, but the key lime was far better. Excellent staff and chef!

I have never had a bad meal at this unpretentious restaurant. Don't let the location or look fool you! Every dish is delicious. The lamb shank, which is always on the menu, is delicious. Tender, hearty and plentiful. However, if there is a special that meets your eye--try it. On my last visit I had the lobster ravioli and lord was it good! The sauce was amazing. To say I found myself licking my spoon... By the way, the pizza is great too!

I had the chicken piccata, a side of spaghetti with marinara with a tiramisu as a take out dinner. Even though it was 20 minutes until I got home the dinner was terrific!

This is by far our favorite restaurant here in Waynesville. They are the kindest people and they have the best moscato. The owner is very involved in the restaurant and always makes sure you're satisfied with your food. The food. Now let me tell you this. We order food from here about maybe 2-3 times a week and it never disappoints. We have marked this place as our favorite place to go if we need comfort food. The service is amazing fast and easy. Everyone is so polite and kind. The ambiance is amazing in the evening and always smells wonderful.

My partner picked me up from work yesterday. We both were tired and had our 5 month old in tow. Everything in Asheville was annoyingly crowded and I just wanted to get home. Driving home, I remembered a few of my friends have recommended this restaurant so my partner called and they had a spot for us within minutes.It was such a warm experience. The inside is cozy, our server was so kind, she even made up a refreshing wine spritzer for me. Everyone was talking and interacting with one another, like family. Everyone was so sweet with my little one. The food was delicious. We started with garlic rolls and ordered lobster ravioli, spinach ravioli and brought home tiramisu. Everything was great! Someone even kindly paid for our meal! It was all very special .
Absolutely delicious authentic Italian food. The margarita pizza is amazing. Everything is delicious. I was thrilled to find such a wonderful Italian restaurant. In the great Smoky Mountains of all places. I'm a Philadelphia girl and really pride myself I knowing good Italian food. This place has it.

When you see this many great reviews, believe it. Vale 243 was an excellent choice for a birthday dinner. Valerio himself came out and helped me choose a wine to pair with my dinner. The chicken parmigiana was excellent, as was the gnocchi and the tiramisu. Our server was also great, very attentive and friendly. 10/10!

This was the best italian food restaurant we have been to and we will make the 40 minute drive for italian food moving forward. The garlic rolls are the size of the palm of your hand and served on beautiful china and the pizza was hands down the best we have ever had. If you're visiting the Asheville area, it is worth making the drive out to try this place!
