Disappointing! This used to be our favorite ice cream spot with homemade flavors. Personal favorite was their chocolate. This review is based off 1 experience we had at the new “Churn”. All prior experiences at “Churn Buddies” were phenomenal, met with good service and quality ice cream. However now they only serve mediocre (at best) soft serve. The gentleman at the counter didn’t know how to properly make a soft serve cone. The portion size was extra small and had no layering. Not to mention when he couldn’t properly cut the swirl off from the machine he used his hand (gloved thank goodness) to flick the ice cream off his finger and onto the cone. Also Cheese burger or ham/cheese pies served at a place supposedly known for ice cream is kind of random….Again disappointing experience and a sad final visit to a once loved business.

The new ice cream* menu is not good (we will have to come back for the handpies)* . The switch to soft serve sucks, the switch to one size only (according to the employee) also sucks. We were allowed to order one kids cup, then the other two had to be full size. Service left a lot to be desired, employee was sitting curled up on a chair, on their phone, before we came up to order. Employee was borderline rude tonight, and has been rude in the past.Edited for clarity, and to make it 3 stars after the positive response from the owner.(reply to owner)Thank you for your response! If we would have been allowed to order three smaller ice creams, and a cone on the side - our experience would have been much better. Instead, the employee did not allow us to get: a kids ice cream with sprinkles and a cone on the side, a kids ice cream with Biscoff cookies, or a kids ice cream with Oreo cookies. We tried a negotiating with the employee to get the kids ice creams the way we were wanting, instead we ended up with one kids bowl of sprinkles, and two large churns of the cookies. No cones allowed. Thanks!

There is not good service here and they aren't that clean and when I bought a churn from there there was a lot of plastic in my ice cream I just don't recommend this place

Tried the new handpies on Sunday. They were perfect for a cold rainy day. I had one of each (Chicken Bacon Ranch, Chicken Popper, Ham & Cheese and Cheeseburger). They were all with the same delicious flakey crust. I enjoyed all 4 flavors and can't wait to see what other varieties they offer. They were a little greasier than I prefer but I just blotted them with some paper towels and good to go. They reheated well in the oven!

We had never been to the restaurants there in Gibson, was really looking forward to the experience and the ice cream. We stood there for several minutes, it looked open, the hours posted said they were open, however no one ever showed up. Had to leave and go to another ice cream location. Will try again and hopefully update with a better review…

The staff is kind and provide great service. The ice cream used to be delicious and homemade—especially the sorbets. The low rating is because they don’t make the ice cream anymore. It’s just cheap grocery store stuff (Tillamook labels on the bins). The dip in quality is pretty stark and a bummer.I wish they could have tried other ways to cut costs like making fewer flavors or something. Maybe they’ll adjust back in the summer next year. Hope so. As it is, no reason to buy here instead of Food Lion.

Watch your kids with their spoons. This one broke in my 3 year olds mouth, and she swallowed it. She was probably chewing on it, and I'm not sure if all spoons are created equal, but this was less than an enjoyable experience. Im sure there are stronger ones out there that you could probably justify when you charge $4/scoop. They also didn't have the flavor my daughter wanted because it was thawing out on the counter. I'm sure I'll be back because I love CBC and it's close by, but I just wish I didn't have this to worry about when I visited.

Excellent ice cream. Our party of three had a mix of scoops and a shake (with the whipped cream on top). Service was quick and friendly.

Inside the Gibson Mill Market along with a few other food court eateries. They definitely offer some flavors that are unique, such as blueberry mint, black cherry crunch and caramel latte. The texture of the ice cream wasn't super creamy, a little too sweet for me but the blueberry mint was refreshing. They only offer the ice cream in a cup or waffle cone.

Amazing ice cream. All made from scratch.

Cute little ice cream stall in Gibson Mill Market. They had a variety of flavors. I sampled the chocolate caliente and it was really good. The chocolate was creamy and the cinnamon added a nice flavor. It also cayenne in it which gave the ice cream a nice little kick. I ended up getting a kids scoop of mocha chip. It was not as creamy as the other flavor. It was a little icier. Also the coffee flavor was not very strong.
