Arguably THE BEST Jamaican food I’ve ever had! I was skeptical about getting food from here, because my husband is Caribbean and we’ve tried so many places that have been disappointing. I couldn’t believe how good the food tasted. We will definitely be adding this to our rotation of restaurants.

Special food and special people! I was in the area recently and had a blast eating the curry chick peas, veggies, hand pies etc. Their Jamaican jerk sauce is out of this world!! Highly recommend going by when you have the chance

I typically try not to give 5 stars all across the board but the food and service was amazing. The only reason I gave a 4 for atmosphere is because I feel there should be more tables for customers to sit at. I feel if there were more tables, customers would want to stay and possibly have dessert. The restaurant is family owned and authentic Jamaican food. The owners are very present in the restaurant and community. When I eat there or just grab my food, I always feel so welcome. Hummingbird offers vegetarian and vegan options. I am not a vegan but I really enjoyed the Rasta Pasta, it was truly mind blowing. I highly recommend Hummingbird.Vegetarian options: My vegan co-worker was told most items on the menu could be made into a vegan dish.

We have eaten takeout from Hummingbird twice so far and we are extremely happy with the food and service. So far, we have tried the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, Rasta pasta, and patties. Everything was delicious, portions were generous, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely keep coming back!

The first time I went, I was skeptical about trying it. However, once I arrived, it was one person working the front. There was a little rush, but he was very kind and friendly. He explained that he was waiting on another worker to come in. He was moving quickly to complete orders. The portions were nice, and the curry chicken was seasoned to perfection. I've been back 2x since then, and they still match my first-time experience.

1st let me start by saying the place looks clean inside and the smell instantly hits your nose when you walk in . Not the guy that took my order was ver polite , informative and patient with me placing my order for my mother and me in vegan and my mother is not he explained all the dishes very well and said it’s all make to order so it’s super fresh and he was so right food was very hot and fresh when he brought it out and smelled delicious. I had the vegan Rasta pasta and my mother had the small jerk chicken with rice and beans and cabbage. I’m definitely gonna try the jerk jackfruit next time . It’s a lot of food for a reasonable price will recommend and will be back when in the area for sure spent 25 bucks and I’m tipping next time because it’s well deserved .

The food blew me away here. I was not expecting to find something so authentic in NC. We got the lunch special and couldn't even finish our meals, we were stuffed!If you live in the area, it's an absolute must try. Their Curry and jerk chicken are some of the best I've had. Plus they have an endless amount of different hot sauces to try.

I ordered curry chicken with peas and rice, mac & cheese, and cabbage. when I tell you everything was fresh and so tasteful and seasoned great I definitely give this a 10 out of 10. I also ordered the pineapple lemon ginger juice. It was so tasteful I loved it.
