We have lived in the Charlotte area for about 2 years, we have tried a lot of breweries in the area but Southern Strain is BY FAR our favorite!!! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. But best of all, their beers are SO good! The addition of The Eatery has just topped it all off with amazing food! We always bring our out of town friends to Southern Strain!!!

Glad we decided to drive a little out of our way while in town to grab lunch and some beers. This place is off the beaten path but well worth the stop. Everything was great and would definitely recommend trying this place. Burger was top 5 and the pretzel was average. Had a good variety of beers so everyone was happy.

I come here for the food. But lately the kitchen has a D.G.A.F attitude. Ran out of food one week, then ran out of Blue Cheese for wings next week, now still out of Blue Cheese. I was told no one asks for Blue Cheese so it goes bad? All they do is shrug their shoulders. Where are all my western New Yorkers? Ranch with Wings? I understand some people like that, but come on people. I guess we're going somewhere else for food and beer. Especially when food is twice as much and beer is expensive. I dont care about the price, I love supporting local, but have a selection and be consistent. A gallon of Blue cheese doesn't cost much and it lasts a pretty long time with proper food management. I'm very disappointed and hope they change their attitudes.
