I took my daughter, since she has never been there before. I've been here several times and it's always consistent. I turned my friends from Matthews and Statesville on to it. Has to be good for them to travel to it. The food is delicious and a lot of it for me that is. Best BBQ restaurant for me!PS: Try the blueberry BBQ sauce, it's so so good....

Made a bulk order for take out. Rude service worker in paid takeout area. Items were not boxed properly as stated and server got an attitude when I ask that pork be put in a aluminum tray like the brisket, as asked previously. She handed it to me and said do it. I ask for a spoon and she said they didn't have any. I asked how I was supposed to get it in the container. She then put it in the tray. I asked for all items in a carry out box and she told me it would take awhile to get a box. All this was prearranged and was not done on arrival and she had a terrible attitude. I asked for all items in the box and she said I could do it. I said I can not. She then threw my items in the box. The other server intervened and asked if I needed help getting my order to the car? I said yes and she helped nicely. I do not expect to spent almost $300 dollars at a place and be treated with such disrespect.

Love the ribs, pulled pork, wings, brisket and all the sides. BBQ sauces are good, especially the SC style.
Came in today on a work trip all the way from Texas! I thought no one could BBQ like us but SMOKEPIT Has got us beat!Sweet young lady Aaliyah who had amazing customer service, recommended us the Chicken Quarters and they were amazing! She was Super sweet and very friendly and also very helpful with the menu! Will definitely be back!

Was driving from Charlotte NC to Danville VA and decided to stop and give them a try and I am so glad I did. I went with the burnt ends platter. The cashier asked if I wanted regular or large and Me being a big guy said yes. Wow was I in for a surprise. The portion was huge. The burnt ends were really good, the Mac n cheese and the spicy creamed corn was also really good. I was there about 1:30 in the afternoon and they were still pretty busy with about 3/4 of the tables occupied. The staff were all polite and attentive and the food came out quickly. I will certainly be stopping in again when I am in the area.

For years, like 20, I've always gone to a certain BBQ chain while visiting Concord,NC. However, very recently, I've noticed they've been going down hill. So, last weekend, a friend of mine from SC took me to The Smoke Pit for dinner before we headed home from an all-day rather large car show. So, yes, we are very hungry. I was very impressed with this place. I had the pulled pork potato with potato salad (yes, double potato, for research purposes) as my side and this amazing watermelon sweet tea. It was great, the service was fast and friendly. This place checked all the boxes for a quick and great tasting bbq spot. We were lucky enough to get a table out on the patio to enjoy the sun and breeze. I highly recommend The Smoke Pit!!!
