1st time eating here today with my daughter. We got there around 1230 and put our order in. They close at 2. It was 130 before they realized they had forgot our order. We finally got our food at 145. We both ordered bar b que. It was so dry like shredded beef jerky or dry erasers. Sauce did not help. Fries and hush puppies were mid at best. The worst part was we could hear some lady in the back saying they shouldn't have sat there sorry a*** back there. Blaming us for the seats we chose as to why they forgot our order. Mind you I asked when we came in do we just seat ourselves? The lady replied yes , sit where ever you like. The cook also came out and had an attitude yelling to lock the door while shaking his head and muttering something under his breath because they were about to close. Our waitress was very nice and we never complained the whole time. I was very polite and friendly. We did not deserve to be called that. Needless to say we will never be back again

I’m not one to leave reviews as I work in customer service and understand how stressful it can be. Me and my father came in at 12:30, but we waited an hour and then the waitress proceeded to tell us the food had been forgotten, which is totally okay, it happens ! I get it, I in no way was rude and we told her it’s ok and things happen, but then we hear workers in the back say “they shouldn’t have sat their sorry a** back there” which was very inappropriate, we in no way were rude or even asked for a refund, the waitress was sweet and comped our meal for us, but that comment was very loud and offensive, I’m always sweet and left a 7$ tip. But in no way did me and my father deserve to be called that. Disgusting behavior.

I have been obsessed with the BBQ sandwich from here for years now! Yesterday, I was craving Troutmans so much but they were closed, I decided to go to What-A-Burger instead to get a BBQ sandwich. What-A-Burger's BBQ sandwich does not hold a candle to Troutmans!!! The food, service, and all around "vibe" is HANDS DOWN WAY BETTER AT TROUTMANS!!! No other restaurant, including even Wayside Diner, has the quality and amazing food that Troutmans does! Now if I can just convince Troutmans to be open every day! lol. I've said it before and I will say it again, Troutmans has amazing food, amazing employees, and they always make you feel so welcome, EVEN WHEN THEY'RE SLAMMED BUSY!!!!

Me and my husband tried this place on a whim because it was getting late and we couldn’t quite figure out what we wanted. Seeing as he is a kitchen manager at a BBQ restaurant, he had his own expectations and they were blown away. We had the chopped BBQ sandwich, fries, and hush puppies and a side of ranch to go with the fries. Everything was delicious. I usually dip my hush puppies in butter but these were so buttery and soft that I didn’t need to. Everything was so so good. The atmosphere is cool because it has exposed brick and the kitchen is open so you can see everything that’s going on, without it being loud. Whenever we went to leave, we were told that someone had paid for our meal. The kind woman at the register explained that the people who eat here have been coming for many years, and whenever they spot a new customer, they will usually pay for their meal. I thought that was very sweet. She explained that it is a good community based restaurant and I couldn’t agree more.

We usually go to Troutman's BBQ 2 or 3 times a month on Friday nights. Food is great, good size portions, reasonably priced, staff is friendly, and restaurant is clean. Great BBQ!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for the back room, but it is street accessible at the front.

I had previously written a review and stated did not like hash browns - I made a mistake I had hush puppies and they were bland not hash browns. I ate at troutmans's. As I said Chickan and cole slaw good - did not eat red cole slaw. Prices high. I did eat at Troutman's barbecue in Concord

The baked beans were good, but the barbecue was dry and adding sauce didn't help at all. Red slaw was inedible.

Everyone tells me, they have the best BBQ, you should try it. It might just be me, the food was good, just normal flavorless dry BBQ. Not much smoke flavor, maybe I've been spoiled by growing up with my dad's extremely good BBQ. Still a place to visit if your around and wanting BBQ.
