Skip this location and go to 3855 Concord Pkwy.I stopped in for a To-Go order. There was three tables and an individual standing at the counter. It looked like four employees on the floor.All I was asked was “Are you dining in?” after a few minutes. I let the person know that it was to-go. Not a single acknowledgment or attempt to take my order. After a few more minutes I left.The overall atmosphere was not great. Unlike other locations, it felt depressing and like no one wanted to be there or working with each other. I’ve been in food service and I’m in retail now. I get it can suck, but sometimes you have to make the best of the situation just to get through it. This location wasn’t even trying.I’ve been to Waffle Houses that, while more sketchy than others, had a better atmosphere.

Waffle House offers affordable diner food that never fails to satisfy hunger. Their food surely isn't gourmet, but the consistency among every location is fair and commemorable. It's their low-priced menu, ghastly ambiance, and extensive operating hours that make dining there a true one of a kind experience. A hub of memories among men, family, and lovers, Waffle House has given so much to us all. A staple of my late night hangouts and all those early grinds, I have so much to owe to the unfathomable Waffle House. It broke my heart last night when me and my boys, my people, dined at the Waffle House at 278 Concord Parkway South to become face to face with a rather rude server. A dark-haired gentleman server wearing an awesome Spider-Man jacket sighed at our requests, rushed our conversations, and tainted an otherwise wonderful dining experience. I understand if the location is short staffed or if the gentleman was having a bad day, but that behavior is completely uncalled for. There's so much love to be held in the world and it's a shame to see disrespect coming from a place where I held such love.

I no longer live in the area, but I make it a point to come here anytime I’m in town. Even though it’s an old location, the facility is very clean. The ladies restroom was orderly and smelled fresh. The best part of the experience today was Caleb!!! He came to our table several times and took a photo for us.
Friendliest staff at at any waffle house and the cleanest one too. This is the waffle house to go to.

This restaurant needs to be ran by other people who can complete the job. I walk to to place a Togo order when I stopped in my track and noticed the staff was sleeping… the tables were all full of dirty dishes and trash. I refuse to eat at this location and spend my hard working earnings here. Do better please, this has been the 2nd time in the last few weeks this has happened at this location, I told my self I wouldn’t review it but it happened once again… this is crazy to me , I get it I used to work 3rd shift but also made sure I slept well enough before having to report on my job. This location is just going down the hole slowly.
