“The best BBQ restaurant in Lenoir… scratch that…. the best restaurant in Lenoir. This place is freakin nuts. It’s not every day you find the highest quality, biggest portions and best price all in one spot. I’ve tried just about everything, but the BBQ dogs just changed my life. Put that bbq mustard on top and whooooo! I’d eat that off a flip flop. My family makes it a point to eat here at least bi-monthly. Do yourself a solid and go to JDs. Like right now. Go. Now.“

“8/19/2023 Great restaurant stop in Granite Falls on our way to Jefferson, NC. Pulled pork sandwich with slaw and or pickles on it with yummy sauce at table and generous helping of sweet potato casserole and drink for 9.90. Quiet atmosphere, clean restaurant and restroom., service quick. Order at front and they bring it to your table. Should visit!“

“02/15/24 First time eating here today, and we were NOT disappointed! Plenty of seating available at lunch time. Service was great. My brisket sandwich and corn nuggets were very tasty, and my husband enjoyed his bologna burger and jalapeno cheese grits. We will definitely return soon!“

“My wife and I ate here for our day trip to the mountains. I had gotten the platter with pulled pork, quarter chicken, and ribs. It was all amazing, and the dessert was peach cobbler with ice cream on top. I ate everything and I had to be rolled out. This is a must stop for anyone. My only complaint is that the pulled pork was a little lacking in flavor. It was still great but missed on the flavor“

“Great little hole in the wall diner. Great food and really friendly employees. I usually go for breakfast and get the biscuit and gravy platter with a side of bacon. I highly recommend this place if you're hungry and near Longview. It sits on hwy 64-70. The parking lot is on the smaller side so parking can be an issue depending on what time of day you come here to eat. A must try if you're in the area. 9/10.“

“This is everything a roadside BBQ joint is supposed to be. This is why I dont easily give five star reviews.Awesome pork, no frills ordering, giant portions, comfortable atmosphere. For the purists, it's a nine; I mean, c'mon, they have chicken and brisket our the menu ? ?, and you can't even see through the floorboards ?, I didn't even see a dog on the front porch.Seriously, drive an extra 30 miles to go here; it's worth twice the distance.p. s. The fried okra was fantastic.“
