Loved this place! Came for dinner while on vacation in Charlotte. Make a reservation, they get busy! The ambiance and service was phenomenal and the view is on point- right on the lake! I got the piri piri chicken wrap with the kale salad. So fresh with great flavor! Highly recommend

This review is mostly based on the takeout experience, as my sister had dined in and brought food home for me. I asked for the spicy chicken sandwich, as I had previously had their original chicken sandwich that used to be on the menu and absolutely loved it. The spicy chicken sandwich was awful. The chicken patty was thicker than it was wide, and probably fit about half of the bun. I'm not sure if the patty was even cooked fully, as one bite in I noticed it was pink inside. After one bite I stopped eating it, not to mention the bottom bun was literally soaked and fell apart when I picked it up. I also asked my sister to get a side of ranch, and when she asked the server, they told her no, they don't do to go sauces. How weird is that? She also mentioned that their ketchup was served in a plastic takeout container, which proves that they CAN do takeout sauces, they just chose not to. I wouldn't be surprised if this was out of cheapness, as their sister restaurant Milkbread charges extra for those tiny sauce cups. So dumb, lol. I was also told that several of the staff were wearing shirts making fun of the fact that they have 3.4 stars on yelp, which is SO bizarre. The owners of this place disgust me, they are making so much money from all of their establishments and couldn't care less about the quality of their food or the customer experience. After being an ex employee at one of their sister restaurants, I can assure you that the owners only care about money and their cult like following (they pay their employees minimum wage and force them to work for tips). Avoid this place if you can, the whole experience is bizarre and there are PLENTY of other cute places on the lake that will actually value your experience as a customer.

Fantastic food service and location! Everyone was so kind and they took my food allergies seriously which I appreciate. Food was hot, tasty and overall just great! Super random but that was also the best unsweet tea I've ever had.

We checked out this lakeside spot on a blustery stormy day for lunch, and it was still awesome. Great views from the deck overlooking the lake (complete with heaters), attentive servers and interesting food with fun silverware and plates. Our favorites were the smoked piri-piri chicken wrap with garlic aioli - great flavor and texture - and the seared cauliflower steak with romesco topped with a fried egg. Flavor bomb! The interior decor is really a mid-century modern treat with a great separate bar area and various cool little seating spots. We went for lunch but we'll be back for dinner I'm thinking. Very cool spot, no regrets !

Not at all what we were expecting. The food was terrible, service was slow and someone brought their St Bernard and tied it to the steps beside our table. It was right beside my wife who is afraid of dogs. It was not a good experience. We ordered hushpuppies to start. They were raw, I ordered chicken and it was undercooked. She had the chicago-ish bologna sandwich which was so messy and soggy she couldn't eat it. Would not recommend for anniversary or any special occasion. Our experience was terrible.
Good food, good service but very noisy. It is difficult to have a conversation.

the worst place in town. only reason it’s still in business is the location. i’ve been dragged there with family and friends 5-6 times and the food has been horrible every single time. there’s always a 45min+ wait and the service is horrendous. only reason you should ever visit this place is to confirm how bad it is. oh and prices are ridiculously high for frozen garbage and nasty cocktails.
