This is the best Chinese food in Durham. Friendly service and clean food. Which is very hard to find in Durham. The sesame chicken is awesome.

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while and have heard great things about it. It's a very small, hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but there are a few tables indoors as well as some outdoors tables for seating. I found out that the bathroom sink is located outside of the bathroom which was interesting. The workers were all friendly and the food came out quick, but it was just okay. The vegetable rice roll was pretty disappointing because it was literally just lettuce and rice noodles wrapped in rice paper. Other Vietnamese spots I've been to usually serve 2 rolls per order and add other vegetables like cabbage, carrots, and mint to the roll, but this one was very plain. I tried some of the special vegetable pho and it was also just okay. The broth was decent but the vegetables were a little hard and overall I've had better. I also tried a bite of my friends sweet and sour chicken and found the sauce to be too sweet / tangy for my liking. I know a lot of people love this place, but in my opinion it was just ok / below average.

Great service and delicious, reasonably priced food. They have a small core menu with a rotation of specials, so there's a good variety. I had the Mien Ga, and it was delicious. Banh's is a rare combination of good food, local ownership, and low prices, and it feels good to support this business.

This is one of Durham's hidden gems of a little restaurant. I've been going here for about 8 years now. I believe it's run by two sisters. They are so nice! They don't pick up the phone when it's busy but the food is so cheap and good. Wednesday specials are awesome. Get the sticky rice.

Delicious and affordable! The staff is very nice. Not a lot of seating available, but the food was great!

Without Banh's, well... Durham would feel empty. I love this establishment and its owners and staff so much that if anything happens to any part of Banh's in my lifetime, I will be devastated. I love the specials on Saturday and Wednesday and on other days I go with either kung pao or ginger chicken with steamed rice. You go for the food and the attention to detail the staff demonstrate. My family has been going to Banh's regularly since we moved here in 1993. When I was a small child, they let me spend an afternoon learning from them how to make spring rolls and I never forgot this experience.

I love the Vegetarian Plate special that’s available on Wednesday and Saturday! Best Sesame Chicken I’ve ever had. Please ask to tip if you’re paying with card ! With their kind service, delicious food and generous portions, these ladies deserve more than what they’re asking for. Thank you !

The loveliest Vietnamese aunties in town. A must try on Wednesday and Saturday if you want to try affordable Vietnamese dishes!

Speaking as someone who is not a huge fan of tofu, I have to say that their vegetarian plate is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. I think it's a black bean sauce on the tofu - outstanding!

Affordable options, quick service, really good overall. The serving size is good as well. Still need to try the days where more traditional Vietnamese food is served; I believe that's Wednesdays and Saturday'sVegetarian options: Items can have tofu subbed in; replacement works well
