It's a cool bar and grill in 9th Street in Durham. It's not a huge place. The service was great. I assume you just try to find a seat as it's a bit smaller of an establishment. Some pretty good bar type foods are offered. All the food we tried was pretty good. Big selection of bottles and can beer. Only a couple of draft selections and a full bar..

Great service and atmosphere. I tried the Dain Burger, it was overcooked and under seasoned. It was definitely not worth $17.No add-ons, $17 with tax plus a 20% tip was over $20 for a burger and a bag of chips.I did not complain to the bartender.The bun was beyond excellent, the lettuce and tomato were fresh and delicious.I wasn’t asked how I wanted the burger cooked, I just ordered it and I got a piece of leather.The beef patty was completely ruined by whoever cooked it, considering the cost of the meal, including tip (over $20) the experience over all was bad.Vegetarian options: Impossible burger

We had burgers with fries. Ordered medium-rare and cooked perfectly.They have a good selection of local beers on tap, notably a great kolsch that was light and refreshing. A delightful lunch.The decor is heavy wood (there’s a huge wooden propeller?) and the interior lighting is appropriate for a neighborhood bar.

First time at Dain's. Didn't realize it was a Saturday and Duke had a game. I had the best time. Also, you are in for a treat with the food. I'm a vegetarian. The impossible burger is scrumptious. The buns are melt in the mouth delicious.

They think they can put their bench on your public sidewalk and then make you buy stuff to sit on it for a minute and rest your feet. Illegal! Trespassing is about whose LAND you're on. Not what you are doing with stuff that other people put on your land.They are allowed to take their property back on to their land. They are not allowed to make you move from where you are on your land.
