Upscale Mex. Carne Asada in the best.

I made a reservation approximately 1 month before our visit for outdoor seating and when we arrived the manager informed us that it was not available but they could put us downstairs in a private space. The space worked out but would have preferred outdoor seating. Our waiter forgot to put one of our meals in and we waited for 30 minutes to get the meal which ultimately had to be packed to go because we had show tickets. I was shocked that we were not offered any compensation for not one but two inconveniences that affected our dining experience.

Came here with a group of friends, and I have to say that the prices they charge for what you get makes this a truly incredible value. We'd started off with salsa and guac, both were fresh and delicious, and for our entrees, we had tacos, which were also great.

Was in the city for biz mtg and wanted to check out some new spots. I really had a nice time. I totally over ordered, but I wanted to check out the menu. First, the service was A+. Ally took care of me. Second, the food is fresh. You could taste the ingredient. If downtown, give it a try. The King margarita is definitely solid and better than the regular. Enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic! Top quality ingredients, excellent cocktails. The BEST Mexican food I've ever had, and I've had a lot. I am a 50+ year old connoisseur of food. I would go back and be extremely happy to do so.

Had an amazing experience. Though it started off rough with Sherm being accosted by his potential love interests, he quickly and politely handled the situation while never breaking the attention from our service. Ali made sure to keep him straight and chase the suitors away. Together they formed like Voltron to provide a united front of top shelf service. This is definite must visit from me. Try the top shelf tequila as you won't be disappointed.

Poor service. Very poor service. Gave them chance for second time. We will never come back. Ordered beer later our server came and ask again for our drink order. I reminded her that we have ordered drinks with her. She said we are short staffed and than she walked away. Than the table that came after us got their service, we left. If I could give less than 1 star I would have given them that rating. Good location. But limited menu choices.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in the Triangle, Dos Perros is probably no bueno. They definitely do try to have a variety of different Mexican dishes on their menu, but I found what I tried a bit disappointing and muted in terms of flavor. I was missing home (San Jose, California), so I decided to order the birria tacos. While I appreciated how it was freshly prepared, I did find these overly greasy and on the less flavorful side, unless you dunked it in the consome. It also came with a side of rice and beans, which were some of the most flavorless that I've tried. I will say that the drinks are incredible and some of the best that I've had in Durham during my stay. A hallmark of a good night is when I can't remember the name of my drink, and I only vaguely remembered that it contained passion fruit LOL. Would recommend stopping by if you want well mixed drinks with some good strength to start off your night!

Food was alright, I got the fajitas and cannot complain. Now I can start to complain. My girlfriend ordered a beet salad to go with her food, after inquiring about it a couple times it eventually got to us, at the end of the meal. The meal itself took a while and I think we were some of the last people to pop in, because every other patron was enjoying their food.Oh I almost forgot, it appears yes, they require facemasks and the like, which is stated on google. They do however require you to have proof of vaccination, which I did not have handy for my daughter. This was not mentioned on "The Google". After a minor inconvenience and a small wait, we got to wait around some more and watch some gringos fumble semi-classy tex mex.I'm upset this turned out to be my birthday dinner, as the experience alone just kind of killed the mood. I'll take a hard pass next time guys, I'm sorry. I don't know why I apologized.

Came here for the first time with my sister last Thursday night for dinner, and was very pleased. I got the birria tacos, which were great, I almost got an order to-go.The salsa and chips tasted fresh. My sister thought her chicken fajitas were average.Get the birria tacos!

Always a fun evening, even in COVID times. Sat at the bar, had tacos three ways (barbacoa, shrimp, and fish), and they were as stellar as the drinks. It's nice to have a place you can go indoors and order food at again! The jerks in front of me notwithstanding, it's very easy to show a picture of your vaccination status stored on your phone. Don't be jerks. These folks are risking their lives, working in your exhalations - they get to filter folks out as much as they want to. I wish my store required showing vax status - it would weed out the bad apples. Great food, great drinks, friendly service. Thanks, Dos!!

Had dinner with my family here, and will not be coming back. The waitress forget to put in my wife’s food order, and when we asked about the delay, she was extremely rude. We asked for the manager to come over and she had the same Nonchalant attitude. Extremely disappointed, I heard good things about this place.

The cauliflower and tempeh mole is unreal and unlike anything I've ever had. What a great, unique dish using vegan-friendly local ingredients! Will be salivating over that and the fried escabeche for the foreseeable future.

copied this from wife's google review about a year ago. I had to post this on yelp to let more people know before they make a costly mistake. Maybe it's better, but we're never going back. We both agree that our $200 meal for three was waste of time and money. Owners also own Jujube and JUJUs. We refuse to even try those places now. "I'm very surprised by the good reviews here. The food is mediocre at best. The tacos which I read a lot of good reviews about had old tortillas (store bought, not fresh, this is within a few miles of authentic stores that service local) the fish was clearly old. The remaining meats were overcooked the salsa was bland. The small plates are bland and not worth the price. Durham is such a diverse place and there are many many taquerias with authentic delicious food more deserving of your time and money. If you truly want amazing tacos for half the price Aztec Grill or Guanajuato would be better." Cocktails were decent but did not make up for the terrible food. They gave us cold, stale chips for crying out loud. How do you mess up chips and salsa?! ..Salsa was terrible too. I don't even remember what all we ordered but we got a good amount of the menu just try on our first time. I don't even remember the individual plates, only that it was all terrible ...we actually left feeling hungry still, after paying over $200 mind you, and went to a local Latino owned taco truck. At 1/4 of the price and 100x better food AND service. Wish I would of asked for my money back and gave it as a tip to the food truck workers. For a "high end" place, the service, quality, taste of the food was astonishing. I can deal with hipster, non-empathic service, I've worked in food service and thought/still think I was cool for the work I did, but combined with terrible food... you're just being terrible people too.

Delicious food! Got the queso appetizer and a chicken burrito, both were SO yummy. Atmosphere is nice and service was great. Will definitely go back!
