Wow, one of the best meals and dining experiences these foodies have ever had! We added the wine and sake pairings for each course. That was nice and made the decision making easy. Each of the 7 courses was fantastic. We'll be going back for sure. It was cool being able to chat with the chef as she was preparing the meals. She was busy so we made sure to limit the chatter, but that interaction and the highly knowledgeable wait staff took the whole experience to the next level.

We did the Kaiseki Omakase Menu with drink pairing, which was quite expensive but so worth it for a special occasion. Each dish was exquisite and this was truly one of the best meals we've ever had, much less in Durham! The M restaurants never disappoint.

What an amazing night! And a delightful surprise. I wanted to treat myself to M Sushi for my birthday but booked M Tempura by mistake. It was too late to change so I thought what the heck. I’ll go anyway. I always thought tempura was just fried battered food, but I was wrong! The M Omakase was so wonderfully done. I had a blast quietly enjoying the different textures of dishes. Especially memorable were the divers scallop, the lobster, the softshell shrimp, and the sea bass. The server got me a bonus glass of champagne as well, wish I really appreciate! I would definitely stop by again when my parents are in town. Five stars all the way for a phenomenal dining experience.

First timer. Sat at the bar and had the M Omakase. Pricey but a very enjoyable dinner. Wife and I loved all three of the pre-tempura dishes (the Salmon Crudo with mango sauce was a standout). Tempura was delicious. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars for food was the final Sea Bass entree dish was good but not great and left us a little disappointed as we would have expected to end on a better note. Service was on point and ambiance was great. Overall very enjoyable and we'll be back.

We did the Omakase tasting with pairings. It was a great experience. At some points the food was stunning. Tuna Tartare with a Foie Gras mousse was amazing, I loved it. The tempura too was amazing. The wine pairings were good. The Yuzu Sake at the end was a real taste of something different. I highly recommend.

Food was awesome and the pairing was very good, I don't think both were synchronized perfectly but it was very good overall, service could improve I had a feeling that it was a bit unorganized. I want to highlight that the food was very nice, service could be improved for the price we are paying. Thanks for having us! I would definitely come back.
We absolutely loved it! From beginning to end, the service was impeccable. The food presentation was top notch. And the fact that it tasted as good as it looked was even better. We can't wait to go back!

An amazing (but very expensive) dining experience. Everything so elegantly prepared and wonderfully delicious. The only exception was the odd foie gras and fruity pebbles concoction, which was out of sync with the rest of the meal and definitely not delicious. Highly recommend otherwise.
We gad a great experience, even though we still think it's a bit overpriced overall. I think Omakase pricing is fine but it snowballs with a bit of alcohol and such. Great place for special occasions.

We've eaten at M Tempura a number of times since first open. Always Omakase. And always loved it. This is the first time we've been able to return since they revamped their menu last summer. What was already a wonderful experience somehow got even better!! Thanks! Should mention that as always, the service was five star!

Outstanding experience!! We tried dishes and ingredients we hadn't had before and loved every single bite. The service was professional and the setting was intimate with the kitchen - they would announce to us what the dishes were as they plated and were very accommodating to any questions or compliments we gave. Will definitely be back next chance we can snag another babysitter!
