I went to Mavericks on April 5, 2024 and ordered the Texas Dry- Rubbed Review 1/3 lb and fries and The Hell Yeah Burger with the side being fries. When they brought my order to me, they bagged it up, as if I was having it to go when I clearly explained to the lady who took my order that I was eating here, then when she brought our trays to us, the fries was cold. I asked her would she like to try one she said no thank you that would you take your hand and test those fries they’re cold. She came back with hot fries for me and my friend, then the chicken sandwich was a little over cooked and they never came to the table to refill drinks or anything, I’ve been here several times over the years but tonight things was off. (Understaffed for sure, one guy with curly hair and glasses, a woman with a large band aid on her face was taking orders, and a man and a woman in the back cooking.). On a Friday night!! Know my friend food seems like it would never come…

JonBenet and Tate were amazing. They were the reason we didn't go back outside to eat. The food was great however the two of them made the whole experience for me and my wife. We were just here for a day trip getaway and they made it AMAZEBALLS..... Definitely a 20 out of 10 stars! Thanks Guys!

I'm not usually a fan of bar-having restaurants, especially that have the potential to get loud, but this is an exception. This is the first place I ate at in Durham that wasn't a chain and I have loved it since. Their chicken is great, and the cheese fries are probably my favorite in the area so far. My husband loves their boozy milkshakes (and not having to drink home!).

The food is pretty good and the prices aren't bad either. We got there on a Friday night at 6 and we're the only patrons for a short time. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable.
