Best food for the money, hands down in Durham.You get really good portions and everything I have had so far has tasted really good.This is the only small, quick-bite spot in Durham that I feel comfortable ordering fish and seafood.Highly recommend the fish poboy!

I have ordered at least 3 times already!! I really like that 2pc fish and 6 shrimp combo. Always fresh and hot! and there cakes ain't bad either. I like that Pineapple cake tho :-)
This is my 3rd time here, and the food is pretty good. The fried chicken wings are my fav, the crunch on those bad boys I haven’t experienced anywhere else ! I tried the fish today; again it’s the crunch for me?. The Mac and cheese isn’t the “down south grandma cooking” Mac and cheese but it’s cool.
Food goes hard, definitely a positive experience from the friendliness of the staff to the atmospherecopped that double southern burger and boy was my guy at the front desk speaking the truth when he said they make them right!!! 8.5/10 burgerchicken was solid too 7.5/10this place definitely has some potential to be a solid staple of food in the communityshoutout my guy working the cash register and shout out to the guy who asked me if i needed any sauce toooverall 8.3/10

I had been here years before and was over charged for the meal.This time there was a different staff and atmosphere in the restaurant.The clerk was kind and helpful. The place was clean.I didn't see any bathroom signs so i used my sanitizer.The gumbo was great!!! I will come back for that dish again.

3 1/2 rounded to 4The things I liked best. I'll echo other reviewers--the shrimp are fantastic! Large, plump and mild. The fries are super crispy, the way I love. I think they're breaded. I love you can chose from several types of fish, though that's not clear from the website. I was told they even had whole fish. My husband and I ordered flounder. He said he wasn't sure it was flounder though it could well be baby flounder. In any case, it was mild and good tasting. I love you can choose fried or grilled and ask allergens to be left off. But gluten free people need to note the fries are breaded. I ordered fried flounder and my husband ordered grilled. Yhe grilied had some kind of seasoning I liked. Mixed; the cole slaw was a little spicy which is not to my taste. Given that and the fact other reviewers have said the green beans taste like canned with no seasonings, I wished there were more side options that weren't carb heavy. The negatives. The breading on my fish was extremely salty. I like salty okay so it wasn't a real problem for me. I guess it could have been the batch of breading. I didn't notice the salt as much on the shrimp breading though that could have because the ratio of breading to seafood was higher on them fish. I didn't care for the oysters. They weren't terrible but I couldn't say they were good. I wouldn't get them again.

Food was nasty, hard, and stale! Potato salad was hot and mushy! Fries were hard aNd uneatable and unhealthy!! Hush puppies n fish was soggy!!! They new it look like this n still gave it to me!! They don’t care!!

The food was Average. The service was GREAT! The only problem I had was the dessert was hit or miss. The chocolate cake was good. On the other hand the coconut cake was dry as the desert. And once purchased good or bad they won't exchange. So beware of the BAD desserts. Very disappointed especially with how much food we purchased.

Let me start by saying the customer service was great. My food was ready when I got there (ordered through grub hub). Those were the only two things good about the experience. My Grilled Chicken salad was not good.. at all. There was lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers ( a few ) and pickles ( a few ). The chicken had a little bit of flavor to it.. which was probably the most appetizing thing about the salad. The ranch was DISGUSTING and came straight from a bottle. And my mozz sticks tasted like straight up oil. After tip and ordering from Grub hub.. for just myself on TWO items, I spent about $30.. for nothing. I hope they have better tasting options on their menu.. but I won't be back to try them.
