I loved this spot. This is the type of breakfast restaurant you find when you're out of town and looking for a satisfying breakfast before you start your day. It was diner style and super packed. Even with every table packed we got seated and served very quickly and all the servers were really welcoming. I got the mushroom omelet, breakfast potatoes, and english muffin. I was really satisfied with my order. I also got a side of corned beef hash (not pictured) and it was great. Most places serve pretty bad corned beef hash so I was pleasantly surprised. My partner got the country scramble, hash browns, and toast. He enjoyed his food as well. The strawberry pancakes were just pancakes with (canned?) strawberries on top but still good. We left happy and full. Our total was around $60.

Great place to eat! Good food, good people and fair prices. You get plenty to eat for the cost.

All the staff were nice. The breakfast food tasted good, except the coffee. The Ladies ? restroom needs to be updated soon. It wasn't as clean as possible and had a smell. The door was dirty and needed repair.

Vegetarian options: Two of the people in our party are vegetarian are were able to find dishes which were more than filling.Dietary restrictions: These same individuals also have dietary restrictions which were easily accommodated.Parking: My only concern here is that the curb is a little higher than average in the front and I needed assistance from my son in law to climb up and down safely. I don't know if it's like this all the way to the back of the parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a rollator which I sit on because the seat is typically higher than the chairs and I had no problem.

Silver Spot is a classic "down home" breakfast diner that knows how to do it right. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious breakfast options. It is the perfect dine-in or take out spot when you're in the mood for a classic breakfast done right.

Cute place. It definitely seems to have a good group of people who frequent it.Bolstered by reviews and looking for new places to have brunch, we came to check it out.Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the reviews. Yes, huge portions (except for hashbrowns). Sadly, everything was pretty greasy.Poached eggs were super runny.Any toast that you get is slathered in “butter” instead of letting you butter your own. The English muffin was toasted nicely, some places don’t get a good toast on their sides of bread.Omelette was good.Home fries and toast, just a lot of oil which I’m still feeling on my lips/mouth after we left.

The food was superb, southern-fried catfish, chicken and hush puppies. The staff was exceptionally friendly and included a diverse group including White, Black and Middle Eastern folks. Yay!

This is a funky old place yet full of great staff, friendly fast service and delicious food. It has long been a favorite of mine and I have never been disappointed in any meal. I can't think of a restaurant that has such an extensive menu either!

This is my first time visiting. I absolutely loved it. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and had a diner feel. We were greeted in a manner that would suggest that we have been long-term friends. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. The food was great. We ordered French toast and a frittata and a hamburger. The portions are large. The prices are extremely reasonable. I will definitely go back when I’m in the area.

We needed to eat breakfast and were passing through Durham. We saw this place had a lot of good reviews. The location was a little off beaten path and the construction next door made for some difficult parking.Yet, I see the appeal as the staff was very friendly and then had a lot of food options. I picked my usually corn beef hash omelet  with fruit and an English muffin. The omelet was pretty good. I wish they provided my fruit. It was ok overall, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
