Went for the Fever Dine in the Dark event. They were fairly organized and the meal was good. My -1 star is that I wish it had really pushed the envelope on flavors and textures since we were blindfolded. But the venue itself was cute and eclectic with a hog theme throughout. Staff was good as well. ??✌?

We participated in an event Hosted by Fever. Twas Dine in the Dark and absolutely loved it. Our senses were definitely heightened by not being able to see our food. The wine pairings with the meal made it exquisitely delightful and delicious.

I attended a dinner event on Thanksgiving and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, well-prepared, and provided excellent customer service. The food was delicious and priced moderately. I look forward to attending their next event.

I believe the Pit Durham location is now an event venue location only - this is what we were told when we visited yesterday. The change wasn't too clear from Google and Yelp. Go to Raleigh for the actual sit-down restaurant!

Was so impressed with this place! It's rusticallyquaint, cute & can be dressed up nicely. The food we had was very good. There was an open bar available. The staff we encountered were great!

This is for their food truck. Wanted something while at Raleigh Brewing, and they were parked outside after a group bike ride. Nice and friendly, and the food was hot and fast. The barbecue soul rolls sounded so interesting I had to try them- and so glad I did! It was simply amazing! Super hot and fresh, perfect mix of ingredients. Well prepared with care even though they were getting ready to pack it up for the night. The sauces were a delicious combo and I couldn't decide which one I liked best- alternated bites of each through the the whole meal. You definitely want to try the restaurant now.

The once great place to eat every day meals is now an event space only. Every one was nice and helpful as I took a tour of the room for my dad's 85th birthday party. It's a great space to turn into anything you envision for your event.

My experience here was okay, I had higher expectations. The staff are friendly and attentive but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered the maple brown sugar corn bread, appetizer sampler, the big meat platter, and the ribs with mashed potatoes and salad. The corn bread was DELICIOUS, I would just order the corn bread only. Everything else was lackluster. The ribs, mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes were so dry and tough. The chicken was decent but still incredibly dry. I was disappointed by the majority of the food but I would come back just for the maple brown sugar corn bread.

I enjoyed the Lexington-style pork shoulder barbecue sandwich - a little more mild and sweet than the regular "barbecue" according to the menu, and it was exactly that. Delicious with just enough of the vinegar-base, not excessive. My wife enjoyed her salad and my daughter and son-in-law shared a combo with fried chicken and one other meat (forget which one). They enjoyed theirs quite a bit too, The complimentary hushpuppies provided at the start were a pleasant surprise. Service was good and free drink refills were appreciated. The barbecue at The Pit is better, I think than what I found in the Salisbury area, which tends toward a thinner, stronger vinegar base.

We had Sunday lunch and it was amazing. Ike was friendly, informative and funny. All the meats were good. The biscuits and cornbread were the best I've ever had. The Carolina sauce was tangy and delicious. This place will become a regular visit for me. Kid friendly. Amazing banana pudding.

Excellent service and atmosphere- our waiter was amazing . Got in after a baseball game- about 30 minutes before closing and the staff was amazing and the food was delicious! The sampler appetizer was great!

I am not from Durham, but I had heard about the NC BBQ and was eager to try some. Had the Eastern pork BBQ, which was really, really good. Love the slightly spicy vinegar sauce! The collards were very good, and so were the potato salad, hush puppies and the buttermilk biscuit. The server was friendly and did a great job. Really liked this place, and will come back on my next trip to Durham!

I had take out. The food was a me amazing. The fried chicken and collards are great. I got the sampler which comes with fried pimento cheese balls, Bbq soul rolls, deviled eggs, and smoked wings. It came with little hush puppies. Everything was delicious. I did not enjoy the devil eggs they seemed bland. I ordered the cornbread it sort of tasted like apple cinnamon bread to me. I recommend the BBQ soul rolls and the collards. Very good Eats ?
