So we love whisk and rye. Their baked goods are incredible. Their latte flavors are so good. Their regular coffee is great. The caveat is who makes your drinks. The owner is great at it, the female worker typically does a great job. The other two female workers who aren't there anymore also were the bomb. But the guy with the ponytail is variable. Really like him, he's pleasant and engaging. But somehow when he makes the lattes they're always just a bit muted or don't take quite as good. And there's once or twice it's been obvious that an ingredient was missing. My partner and I even have a game where we will taste the latte and try to see if we can tell if he made it. Usually we can tell. Once again, really like him. Just wish somehow the lattes (our favorite part of the shop) turned out better with him.

My husband and my favorite coffee shop in North Carolina. And we go out for coffee quite a bit! The vibes are just so fun here. If I have an in-person meeting, I often ask my meeting mate to join me here so I can introduce them to the lovely atmosphere. We sit either indoors (they have a really nice space, and if you can get the little ante room facing the road, it's super fun!) or we sit outside on the large patio area which is adorned with lots of lovely plants (courtesy of the plant shop next door!) It's a small business and the owners are always coming up with fun latte flavors. My husband loved the vegan eggnog latte. I love that they don't blink if I ask them to make my latte a specific way (I asked recently for less sugar from the syrup and the cool barista said "half sweet, no problem!") I'm not sure if we like the perfectly made lattes more, or the vegan pastries (it might be a tie?) They have killer vegan croissants.

Oh I’m so sorry, just that the croissants were rock hard. One was coated in so much sugar I couldn’t stand it. The plain one was so tasteless, had no salt perhaps. The staff person was a bit unhappy and perhaps dismissive, I hope he has a better day soon.

Oh man, may I tell you that the first time i came here. I came here twice for their baked goods and latte. Prior to this place, I wasn’t into peanut butter but I had their Ballpark latte (if i could remember correctly) which I loved. I was introduced to this place by my partner and surely he was right about this place having the best baked goods.

It’s dangerous that Whisk & Rye is within walking distance from my house ?. They have a great, rotating selection of pastries and seasonal drinks. I had the best fall spiced latte this morning. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area
