City Grill was good at first. Then, they started some unsanitary practices. Recycling customers uneaten food and preparing dishes with bare hands. I was a delivery man at one point and witnessed this with my own eyes. Stay away! Also, the management has been rude and nasty to employees. I don't know about you, but I don't want to eat anywhere where people hate their job. I don't know if anything has changed, but I will have to see for myself.

Okay, but not great. This is one of those places that serves a lot of food, but doesn't specialize in anything. I'd honestly rather spend my money at Panera or something similar but if you need something to eat, City Grille will suffice.

I just had the WORST experience at The City Grille! I took my kids there for lunch, we ordered a soda and two hot chocolates. The ice had slime on the surface of my drink (like the dirty soda machine slime) and my kids “hot chocolate” was warm chocolate milk. At this point I asked our waitress to cancel our food order we need to pay for our drinks and leave. She then gave me an attitude saying she would have to pay for the order if I don’t. Obviously I didn’t want that, so I asked for a manager/owner. The owner(?) came out angry and said why don’t I want my food, I said we want to pay for our drinks but we won’t be eating their food, I’m sorry but we need to go. He then started YELLING at me in front of my kids! I said I’m not going to stand here and be yelled at and left. This man CHASED me and my kids out to the parking lot yelling! I called my husband on the phone because this is scary at this point! We left and the cops ended up calling us (laughing at how ridiculous this owner is) and asked us to pay the $3.17 for our drinks like I tried to before we’re chased out!

Never been to the restaurant, but OMG after another post on social media on how you guys suck! ? How in the world are you guys still open?!?! The manager sounds like a major jerk. I swore off swearing on here, but not when you come face to face with me. I know that manager doesn't pay attention to these reviews because he's too busy yelling at his staff and the customers, but boy I sure hope he sees this review because like 90% of the other reviews on social media hates him. I hate him and I haven't even met the guy. I really hope he doesn't have kids or a wife. Can you imagine what he's like at home if he's like this at work? How I see City Grille in Elizabeth City, NC is like hell. He's the Devil and the staff signed a contract to make a small minimum wage just to survive and that makes them depressed so they need to take it out on the customers and if the customers fight back, then the Devil comes in and yells right back at them. I have a good feeling the health department is getting paid underneath the table just to keep quiet and let this man continue to manage City Grille.That's my review, Mr. Manager (aka) Devil. ?
Ordered two piece dark chicken with rice and french fries. Despite me saying no gravy, the chef put gravy on my first rice, and when I got a new set of rice there was SWEET POTATOES in it. I only ate the chicken, felt disgusted at cross contaminated serving utensils. Tried a single fry, not at all seasoned, no salt, nothing. The waitress being polite was the only saving grace of the meal

We had City Grille Cater Our Christmas Party at Northeastern Garage Door and everyone liked the food. Very good job! Very good price for a party of 35.
