Some of friendliest staff I encountered. Food was prepared extremely fast and was out prompt even moderately busy as they were. Good food very tasty recommend if in area.

My husband and I frequently eat here. This week we learned it changed ownership to MI Cancun. The food was amazing. The customer service was impeccable and the prices are very reasonable. Great authentic ambience with upbeat music and very whimsical art. They offered additional complimentary chips and salsa compared to the previous owners. We were also surprised how quickly our order arrived. Very generous portions. Absolutely one of our favorite places to eat in Elizabeth City.Parking: Huge parking lot.

Great place! New to the area and decided to try for lunch based on reviews. Extensive menu offering a wide assortment of Mexican dishes. We stayed with more traditional -- fajitas and street tacos, which were delicious and nicely plated. Nice decor and vibe, great service, very clean (including restrooms). Will definitely return.

This place is mine and my wife's favorite places to go!! The staff is excellent and the food is phenomenal! I try the footlong burrito every other time we go and I can't ever seem to finish all of it lol one of these days!! My wife loves their Burria Tacos!! Everything is delicious and freshly made! Great job yall, see yall soon!Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options, you may have to ask and the server will show you which ones they are. Plus there's a legend that shows different info by each meal.Kid-friendliness: This is definitely a family restaurant. They love seeing my brood walk in! They're friendly and engaging with the kiddos as well as find ways to help entertain them throughout dinner lol.Wheelchair accessibility: Handi-cap and wheel chair access throughout the entire place from parking lot to dinner table you will feel right at home!Dietary restrictions: These guys can tailor any meal to your liking so don't be afraid to speak up and let your server know exactly what you want or looking for and if they don't have it they will make you a custom plate to your liking.

A friend and I stop by to give it a try. Ordered the Texas Burrito. Nice size and the price was good. Had free chips as we waited. The wait staff was very nice. I love how clean it was and the bathroom where even very clean. The only downside if I had to pick one would be the music it was a little loud and a little hard to talk to the person sitting right across from you.Kid-friendliness: I did not see a lot of small things or parts that a kid could get into.Parking: There is a lot of parking places and it is off the main road so it has lots of city lightsWheelchair accessibility: It has wide aisles and tables you can pull a chair away from to pull your wheelchair up to.

Dropped into this place a few days ago to give it a try. The first thing I noticed was the nice front doors that came out of an older building and looked really nice. After going in the first thing I do is check the floor to see if they are dirty then I go to the bathroom to check it out. I must say I was very happy with both. The waitress was very nice and checked on us a few times after we ordered our meals to make sure our drinks stayed full and to check that everything was ok. This is a kid and family-friendly place at the time we went. Which was around 3:30 pm. There is lots of parking and it is right on the main street so there are lots of city lights. The Price of the food is worth it. The music was the only issue as it was just a little loud and it was kind of hard to hear the person on the other side of the table unless you talked loud for others to hear. Will be going back

We went for lunch & ordered Lunch Fajitas. Food was usual mexican fare & service was good. If you are a fan of the white sauce you have to ask for it, though I've had better. Overall I would go back to try something different.

The Happy Taco was my stop the other night. Not bad...kind of middle of the road Mexican. I had Tacos Don Ramon and they were decent.

First time diners. My husband ordered the taco salad bowl and I had the street tacos, which were delicious. My husband was disappointed with the size of the taco salad, especially since it was $13. There was more lettuce than ground beef; if it wasn't for the chips and salsa app, he would've left hungry and he is not a big guy. It's a shame to spend $30+ and not feel like you got your money's worth for dinner. We did have one beer, so it's not like we blew it on drinks.

Our first time eating here and everything was amazing down to our server Angela L. She made sure we had everything we needed..was very polite and just overall awesome! Even though we live in Greenville nc we will definitely come back again.

Food is authentic and awesome, but the best thing about eating there was the staff. They were happy, attentive, and prompt. Made the entire experience enjoyable. We'll be back soon.

Ordered takeout while I was in town for business. Was very happy to see birria tacos on the menu & was craving a dessert so got the tres leches cake to go with it. They also offered chips and salsa. I was very surprised to see the huge portion size for the tacos. I expected smaller tacos & maybe 3 total but these were bigger double layered corn tortillas with cheese in between and delicious birria beef inside with onions & cilantro. This was served with consommé, grilled onions, grilled jalapeño, lime & radishes. The tres leches was also substantial...The cake was baked in the small (pint sized?) take out container, soaked with tres leches & topped with whipped topping & pineapple. Highly recommend! This was more than enough food imho for 2 people & it was absolutely delicious!

We were looking for a place to eat out Tuesday. I saw Taco Tuesday on Happy Taco. They serve 3 hard or soft tacos plus rice and beans. Individual taco is $1. We will definitely be going back on another Tuesday. Many families came for taco Tuesday.
