It was a little confusing the first time, it's not a sit down and order restaurant but get in line and order cafeteria style.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access front door with flat sidewalk and no stairs inside. “We came for a little weekend getaway and were so thrilled with our stay! The rooms were clean with calming outdoor scenery. We were able to relax! Our meals at the restaurant were thoughtfully prepared and flavorful! We enjoyed Chef Timothy’s menu for dinner and breakfast! There’s a nature park adjacent to the winery, and we went for a morning run on the paved trail. There’s even animals to visit and pet on the grounds (it was fun to see the donkey and miniature horses!) Cape Fear Winery has a lot to offer—we will definitely be back!Walkability: You can walk to everything in the grounds of the winery!Food & drinks: I had a filet mignon meal that was tender and flavorful! We enjoyed the new breakfast menu too!! (The cheesecake is worth it!)Noteworthy details: There’s pretty decor/garden statues about the property. We like that you can walk around the property to go to eat and on the trails nearby. We saw Elvis the peacock walking about too!“

“Stopped by yesterday while in the area after it was recommended by Barefoot Brew on Broad Street. The coffee shop has never let me down, so I decided to check it out. The service was exceptional, very friendly staff and extremely conversational at the register. The food came out quickly and was “made with love.” I ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and mayo, which was delicious, and I would even compare it to Melvin’s. The okra was good too, but the stars of the show were the crispy fries. They are wide, but thinly cut, so you get a perfect crisp on the outside with a soft and fluffy inside. The Barefoots really care about their customers. Bottomless fountain drinks, the owner walking around and chatting with customers, the customer service was exceptional. Also, not sure why nobody talks about this, but the walls are covered with little pieces of Bladen county history. Very fun to read while you wait on your food. Overall, this place checks off all the boxes. Friendly staff, exceptional customer service, fun atmosphere, and delicious food. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family!“

“This food was great. Said they are voted #1 in Bladen Co. I can see why. Lots of outdoor seating. Limited indoor. Pizza is great. Enjoyed one of the salads and even some fried foods. Sodas are limited. Great beer and wine selection. Worth a check if you're in the area.“

“An Evening of Delight at the Cork Room: A Gastronomic Gem amidst TranquilityOur arrival at the Cork Room was like stepping into a peaceful haven. The quiet hum of the lake, the charming cabins nestled amongst the trees, and the gentle breeze set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Even before entering the restaurant, the atmosphere was captivating. Unique shops and friendly animals like ponies and peacocks added to the whimsical charm.Inside the Cork Room, the owner's passion for art was immediately evident. Walls adorned with celebrity memorabilia and movie costumes transported us to a world of entertainment. But the true stars of the show were the hospitality and the food.Chef Timothy's culinary artistry shone through in every bite. The pimento cheese, a creamy delight, set the bar high. My wife, with her gluten allergies, was pleasantly surprised by the accommodating menu options. Her choice, was shrimp and grits and to her delight was fantastic. As for me, the cowboy ribeye was a revelation - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The decadent three-layer chocolate trifle was the perfect ending to this incredible meal.Beyond the food, the staff left an equally lasting impression. Chef Timothy's infectious passion for cooking was evident as we chatted, making us eager to return for another culinary adventure. Our waitress, Michelle, was a gem - attentive, friendly, and effortlessly ensured a seamless dining experience. This wasn't just a meal; it was an experience. The 80s night, buzzing with energy and laughter, added another layer of fun to the evening. This place, with its unique blend of tranquility, art, and culinary excellence, truly deserves its high praise.Looking for a getaway that combines peace, nature, delicious food, and warm hospitality? The Cork Room is your one-stop shop! Come experience it for yourself - you won't be disappointed.“
