First time eating here, got the combo platter, chili rellenos al la carte and a peach margarita...everything was hot & fresh, drink had a kick! Will definitely go again

We were looking for some Mexican food. A bit of a drive from the isle but worth it. Food was delicious. A short wait for a table of 9 so that was expected. Our orders were not right but they were quickly corrected.

Our server was friendly and attentive. My fried, beef chimichangas were yummy. The fresh guacamole was made right at our table. He listed all the ingredients and asked how hot we wanted it, so you can get it made to your liking. Others at my table had chicken quesadillas and beef tacos. Every one was happy with their food. The strawberry and peach margaritas were really good, too.

Our first and last order at Plaza Mexico in Emerald Isle. Food was terrible, overcooked and heavily salted. To go order we received and paid for was different than what we ordered. Very small side of guacamole was $6.

Dinner was great. Service was excellent. Large servings. We all brought 1/2 our dinner home.
Even coming in late we were happily accepted at the bar while we waited on our food. Our server Edy was very helpful and provided quick, friendly service. We never felt rushed at all. I highly recommend the strawberry mojito! It's delicious ?
