Such a wonderful sandwich shop in Fairview. Relatively new ownership and they make the best sandwiches in town! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They make each sandwich with love and dedication. If you want subway tier food and service then this is not the place for you. They even started opening for breakfast recently. Warning: the cinnamon buns are very addictive. If you live in Fairview then you know how great this place is. If you live in Asheville, Arden, Gerton or any of the surrounding areas, it's well worth the drive out here. You will not be let down! (Oh and the prices are great as well.)

Wow! I didn't know what hit my mouth. My husband brought home the Ck Bac Ranch last Monday. I sent him back 2 more times that week. We shared a Cuban and a Ruben. Hands down the BEST sandwiches I have ever had. The quality and diff flavors in the meat alone, top notch. "Shrinkflation", doesnt exist here!

Old school attention to detail(of the food)sets this gas station adjacent gem apart. The owner seems to have made a lifestyle choice to leave behind big city restaurant biz for a simpler life, and his customers are the beneficiaries. Have been several times. The "Honest Mechanic" is the closest things to Katz Deli you're going to find in the area, and it's while it's not over the top in terms of size, it's a fantastic blend of the perfect amount of hot pastrami with just the amount of "meat candy" to go with it. (If you know you know). Ok, I'm talking about tendered fat that melts with each bite, adding flavor and juiciness to this pickled and smoked delicacy. Mouth watering good, with toasted bread, and a lovely sauce. Also. The Cookie was the most , and the staff is efficient and friendly. Did I mention the prices are very fair. It's obvious the owner is asking himself the right question "how much value can I serve customers for each dollar in price"? That's how to align the interests of the owner and the customer and that's why he has repeat business.

This place is IT! The workers are extremely friendly and the food is absolutely top notch. We got tuna on Rye and a foot long Italian and both were deeelicious. The Italian is moist, flavorful, and HUGE. Definitely two portions worth. The tuna was just as good and we’d easily get it again! We also got the soup of the day (creamy potato) and macaroni salad. Phenomenal. Both of them. The ingredients here are so fresh, you can taste the quality in every bite. Also very reasonable prices! We only wish they were open on the weekends. An absolute gem of a place, we will be back!Kid-friendliness: It’s a very family friendly atmosphere!
