Mel is one of the most professional, knowledgeable bartender I’ve ever encountered. She is extremely thoughtful and knowledgeable about anything on the menu. She never has to research a random mix drink to make either.She honestly makes the entire experience there amazing.

Came in on a Tuesday night, impressive by the local crowd. Definitely kept coming in thru the evening, great sign.Service: First off, I know there was a new crew cooking but it took a minute to be catered to and receive the order. Again, not necessarily bad since it was a Tuesday, but definitely a deduction.Food: great selection in beer. Hadn’t had a Sweet Water before but it was delicious. And the sauces, all had that vinegar kick that you hear about (I’m no local). So definitely satisfying. The mustard sauce was most distinct and had a sharp flavor, which Im glad for. Their sweet sauce and original stood out a little less, but it gave room for the brisket.Brisket was great. The fatty part had the right amount of juice to it. The beans had a lot of tomato acidity to it which was a surprise. But the mac and cheese was the best part. Had the right crust and saltiness to it. Overall, solid choice but the Texas toast, well, it’s just bread. Not Texas toast. Not sure if it was my palette overall but solid BBQ.

We were there for 2 and a half hrs. Had an initial 30 min wait. Ordered right away after being seated and an hour and a half later we were sitting white knuckled. When the food finally came it was all lukewarm at best. This was on a Wednesday. Never coming back again.

I’ve been coming here since 2006 & yes there’s been major turnover with staff. But the food & service has remained consistent over the years. I’ve had the pleasure of being served by Tiffany since 2018 & she has to be the best bartender I’ve ever had. Her awareness & attention to detail is impeccable. Her service & the consistency of the kitchen has been the reasons why I have chosen to return to Mac’s over the years. I would recommend everyone to come to Mac’s & try their food & be served by Tiffany.
