Honestly speechless how good this food is. Staff is absolutely awesome and they don't mind suggesting their favorites. I suggest listening to them. Whoever is leading that kitchen, knows what they are doing. Unbelievable!

Food is okay. Collards are a hit or miss. Spinach dip and salmon bites are great. I would love to order food on the way home but they hardly pick up the phone. One thing that did piss me off was the waitress gave us the check and stood there till we filled out the tip/total and straight picked up the receipt to look at the tip. Don’t know if she was having a bad day

Visited around 6:30pm on Saturday for dinner and to watch the live band with Jay Renee. The host told us the wait time was about 45 minutes. We gave our phone number to be placed on the waitlist and even informed her we would sit at the bar if that would be ok. She said no, there is still a waitlist for the bar. A gentleman was in front of us. He requested to see the manager after the host explained the same rule to him. Guess what? He was offered a table after the host explicitly told him no. My party however sat there for an hour and was still not seated. The host told us we would get a text. We sat in the car for another hour and half and still no text. Moral of the story, we weren’t able to get in. Rules should apply to not one party but to EVERYONE.

Great food, great atmosphere, just needs to do better with customer service. Last visit my wife and I waited a hour and a half to be seated which was fine. As we sat down the waitress we had took our order but didn't really come back to the table to check on us and another table close by us with the same waitress never got their food. The food was delicious and never had a bad experience but one thing I will say waitress please do better

My family and I waited an hour and a half to be seated, 25 min for anyone to come to our table after being seated (only because I mentioned it) , the response I received when I notified the staff was, “oh for real, hold on.” The young lady did get someone to help. The food came out in a timely manner. HOWEVER, my brother bit into his macaroni and cheese and there was a piece of metal, we were told it came from the prep sink ?. This is unsanitary and very dangerous.

I was visiting from out of town and was actually looking for a Soul Food spot for breakfast. Saw Chicken n Waffles from Uptown and figured I’d try it. The young lady in the phone was extremely helpful with the menu. Ordered the sweet potato waffles and chicken wings with bourbon butter. They have different selections for waffles and butter. Received a text message they received my order and I would be contacted when the order was ready. By the time I drove there within five minutes my order was ready. Absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS. Incidentally, I ordered the whiting dinner for later. The place has a full service bar, flatscreen television, and outdoor patio.

Stopped in for lunch not knowing what to expect, and it was AWESOME!!! I had "The Skinny"(grilled Chicken)with Mac and Cheese,and Yams, and my partner had a Chicken and Waffle sandwich. It was all amazing!! Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very nice! The entire experience from the moment we walked in the door (which the hostess opened for us) to the time we left, was an excellent experience!! Highly recommend,and we will be back(from Lumberton).

Pretty much awful experience. Food mediocre How does a chicken restaurant over cook chicken until it’s dry? Collard greens were mush and almost tasteless. Decor is faded. Service just adequate. How could this place have ANY five star reviews??
