To be clear, I've never had canned dog food.....but I have a great imagination....Many locals told me Black's was the best bbq around town. I gave it a shot.Not what I was expecting. I ordered a simple bbq sandwich.I've had bbq all over the country over the last few decades, so I feel my opinion matters to an extent.What I was expecting: pulled or chopped SMOKED pork, maybe doused in vinegar sauce, maybe not. Fine chopped slaw, or long sliced slaw. A bun, maybe woth the inside buttered and toasted, maybe not.I am not picky by any means. I've had every combination of the different styles listed above, and some are better than others, but all are edible.What I received at Black's on 321.A smashed flat- burnt bun.....burnt on the OUTSIDE!!! maybe that why it's called Black's? Because the top of the sandwich bun will resemble a hockey puck.Inside the sandwich: borderline cold-well, to be fair it wasn't cold, but rather on step removed from luke warm- pork that was flavorless, no smoke flavor-no sauce flavors-vinegar or otherwise.On top of the cold pork was 'coleslaw', which calling that stuff coleslaw is an insult to the dish. The consistency of the slaw was somewhere between a puree and minced.It was atrocious. Thousands of people seem to love this place, so maybe I got it on a bad day, or maybe some items are better than others.I'm not a professional food critic, I'm just a regular man, so don't take my word for it. Go try it yourself.I'm not trying to be am A-hole. I am being truthful. Hopefully the owners will do whatever it takes to make good food to keep this place in business, bc if everyone had the same experience I had, this place would not stay in business.To be fair, I had bad experiences at RO's and Kyle Fletchers too.Imo, it seems like some of the employees at these places don't care at all.

We've only been eating at Blacks for a little over a month but we have loved it up until today. We've been eating lunch there almost every day since it's close to work and has been good. I stopped by for dinner to go tonight. I called my order in at 6:45. Got there at 7:15. The door was locked. They unlocked it and let me in. We ordered $45 worth of food. That's a lot for this place as the prices are very fair. Everything but the fries were wrong. No slaw on the minced BBQ sandwich just bread and BBQ, left off something on all 4 burgers we ordered and 2 hot dogs were wrong. Fries were cold.

"Barbecue"? They have a barbecue sandwich, which seems to be brisket pureed in a sauce on a hamburger bun, approximately the same consistency as tuna salad. It tastes ok, but that's it for the "barbecue". Otherwise it's a hole in the wall burger place.

I have been eating here my entire life. It has always been great until today. I ordered extra slaw and it was Not placed on my sandwich the meat was ice cold straight out of the refrigerator and to top it all off My Bun Was Not Mashed Flat. Yes this is a must when you eat a sandwich from Black's. I understand there is a lot of new people working. But if this doesn't change, I see it going down hill fast. The people that eat here don't won't change to the food that will like and love.

Black's is the best in BBQ sandwiches and for the amount of food they give you. You just can't beat it there all American and a great team of service everyone I have ever dealt with gives plenty and they are very polite. My mother and father went there when they were teenagers. Thank you to all the crew

I visit from Hartford , CT just about every year. If your are a northern who use to live in the south this spot is a gem. You can't a variety of sandwiches and breakfast with great taste and cost you well below what you will pay elsewhere. I had just about everything here so can't tell you in particular what to get but try everything.
